My Collections

With August here and school starting for us next week, I’m mentally shifting gears to fall, but wanted one last look at our living room summer look before I begin transitioning a few things. Soaking up our last week of summer this week & willing time to slow down. 🤍
The flag bunting held up perfectly through some big summer storms last year and are ready to go again for America’s 250th❤️🤍💙

If I were designing the garden of my dreams, it would feel like a little English countryside escape right at home. Think rose covered archways, weathered terracotta pots, classic garden urns, copper watering cans, climbing vines, and a cozy bistro table tucked into the corner for morning coffee.

I’ve been gathering elevated garden favorites that capture that timeless English garden feel while still being practical for everyday living and entertaining. A mix of classic, collected, and a little romantic without feeling overly formal.

If you love that layered cottage garden look too, I linked some of my favorite pieces from @Wayfair in this collection.

Summer Home
This spring we added this elevated garden bed from @Wayfair to our backyard. We’ve wanted to create a kitchen garden for a few years now, but honestly kept putting it off because we couldn’t fully commit to the space, time, and groundwork of a larger garden.

This felt like the perfect way to finally start. I love that it gives us flexibility to move it around if needed, and the elevated design hopefully helps keep some of the local critters out too.

The wood look gives the warmth of a traditional garden bed, but the durable material should hold up much better to the sun and weather over time than typical wood.

We planted herbs, tomatoes, peppers, carrots, and even added a few flowers for the kids.

These stoneware dishes from Amazon are so beautiful year-round with their neutral color and the prettiest edge detailing, but the scallops… they do something extra in the spring 🌸

They give the most subtle, floral look on your table without feeling seasonal.

They’ll also arrive in time for Easter if you’re looking for something special…but still want a set you can use every single day.

Adding some soft stripes to our bedding for summer. 🤍

I’ve had @onequince European linen duvet cover in white for years, but this summer I decided to switch to their subtle mist/white stripe for a little pattern while still keeping the room feeling fresh for the season.

I paired it with our blue channel-stitched coverlet for a light, but still layered & relaxed look. #quincepartner

And if you haven’t tried their bamboo sheets yet...they’re some of the softest sheets we’ve ever slept on. They’re incredibly smooth and cool, and I can’t recommend them enough.

My favorite area rug is on sale for the President’s Day sale 🤍 The Loloi Layla in Olive and Charcoal

We’ve had this rug for years and it’s one of the most versatile pieces in our home. The vintage-inspired pattern mixes multiple neutral tones, so it works beautifully year round and pairs easily with different color palettes.

It’s super low pile, which makes it great for high-traffic areas and easy to clean — spills don’t get trapped in the fibers, which has been a huge plus for us. It is on the thinner side, so I recommend using a rug pad or layering it over another rug like we did here.

Ours is the 9x12’. Linking all details below while it’s on sale.

Here are a few simple bookshelf styling tips I keep in mind when I’m refreshing our shelves. And if you’d like the full step-by-step guide, you can read it on my blog at rachellorrainehome.com

I usually start by layering a basket or two on the lowest shelf for hidden storage and visual weight. Then I place my larger pieces—like pottery or framed art—to anchor the space. If I use artwork on one shelf, I try to stagger another piece diagonally so they aren’t stacked directly on top of each other.

I also pay attention to shape. If there are lots of rectangular objects like books or frames, I’ll add in something rounded—pottery, a bowl, or a sculptural object—to bring balance.

I like to think in groupings, where a few pieces live together instead of being spread individually across a shelf. Think:
– a vertical stack of books with a bookend
– art with something layered in front of it
– a pair or trio of pottery in different heights

And finally, I love mixing old and new. A few antique books or vintage finds alongside pieces from Wayfair or Target add character and a sense of story.

After dealing with a box of tangled cords for far too long, I finally grabbed this under-$10 Amazon cord organizer, and it’s made such a difference.

I labeled each compartment so every charging cord has its own place, which means no more digging through a tangled mess trying to find the right one. It’s one of those small organization upgrades that makes everyday life just a little easier.

If you’re tired of the cord chaos too, I definitely recommend this one.

Nancy Meyers’ interiors have that beautifully layered, lived-in warmth—and so much of it comes from textiles. The softness of curtains, upholstered furniture, woven and patterned rugs, and those cozy finishing touches like throws and pillows. These Target finds are some of my favorites for bringing that same depth, comfort, and collected feel into a real, everyday home.

#LTKHome
Warm woods, woven textures, and natural baskets from Target that add that cozy, coastal warmth you see so often in Nancy Meyers’ interiors. Her spaces always feel classic, welcoming, and well-loved—and these pieces bring in that same sense of warmth and organic texture that makes a home feel layered, relaxed, and lived in.

#LTKHome
Blue and white accents from Target’s spring collection that capture that classic, elevated coastal feel I love—the kind that instantly reminds me of Nancy Meyers’ movie interiors. From soft chinoiserie details to timeless white silhouettes, these pieces bring in that light, airy, layered look that feels both polished and welcoming. Perfect for adding a little “quiet charm” to everyday spaces. 🤍

A few beautiful and functional pieces we’ve added to our bathroom over time.

Even with functional items, I always appreciate when they blend seamlessly with the overall aesthetic rather than stand out.

Layering in elements like a wool rug, wood tones, woven textures, and curtains has also helped bring warmth and softness to the space.

I can’t link the tile but it’s Daltile Gainswood wood look tile in Hickory

It’s amazing what a little warmth and texture can do. Adding a wool rug and rattan bath caddy brought so much warmth to our primary bathroom. The rug works with both warm and cool tones, so it’s very versatile.

I was so impressed with the quality of this brass-colored curtain rod from Walmart! I love the French return style—not just for how it lets curtains go fully to the wall to block light (perfect for bedrooms with blackout drapes)—but also for the brass finish, which looks high-end and feels really sturdy.

Try my W.A.R.M. method if your kitchen feels a bit cold. People love to hate on white and gray kitchens as if they’ve become some sort of design faux pas. But I still think they’re beautiful. 🫶

If you’re planning a kitchen in 2026 and, like me, still love a classic white kitchen, don’t let the trends discourage you. Choosing a warm white paint color or a gray with warmer undertones is still a classic choice.🤍

And if you already have cooler-toned cabinets, don’t feel pressured to change them if you still love the color. The key is learning how to balance those cool tones and bring warmth into the space.

We swapped our old fabric dish drying mat for this quick-drying stone one, and I’ve been so happy with it. It actually looks nice sitting out on the counter—which is where it stays about 80% of the time because there’s almost always a few dishes drying. It dries quickly, wipes clean in seconds, and when I do want it out of sight, it rolls up to store easily in a drawer or standing upright in a cabinet. One of those simple upgrades that makes an everyday chore feel a little more elevated. 🤍

Adding a touch of spring to our kitchen with these cream blossom stems and this gorgeous blue and white bowl with birds and flowers. It’s such a classic piece and perfect for styling on a shelf, island, or table. I’ve linked everything below, including the bowl from several retailers in case it’s out of stock in one place.

Here’s a polished LTK caption that feels natural, confident, and on brand for you:

I still can’t get over how these peel and stick floors from @lowes transformed this bathroom. They have the look of real stone tile, but they’re actually peel and stick — which made this remodel so much more doable.

We did choose to grout them to enhance the stone tile effect even more, but that step is completely optional. They’ve held up beautifully and truly changed the feel of the space.

I’m linking the flooring along with the other bathroom details below if you want to see everything we used.

Still not over the difference this botanical wallpaper made in our downstairs powder bath! 💙

This is the Linnea Misty Blue Mural from Sandberg Wallpaper (I can’t link it, but I found a similar one with a smaller print below 👇). Such a simple change, but it totally elevates the space — moody, classic, and fresh all at once.

These Amazon snowball hydrangea stems are such a good option if you love that full, realistic look for spring and summer.

If you’re looking for a more budget friendly option, these are a great place to start and are solid look for less for the more splurgy but still beautiful Afloral snowball hydrangea.

I’ll link both so you can choose what works best for your home.

Our vase has been discontinued but I’ll link similar options.

I used 8 stems in this arrangement.

Adding this garbage disposal cleaner to our kitchen spring cleaning essentials. The disposal is one of those spots that is hard to clean but easily traps grime and odors. These help freshen and clean it out without much effort. They’re also septic safe, which is a big plus for us.

A view of our children’s loft library comingupvour stairs. We built custom shelves to hold all the kids’ books, added vintage library steps from a yard sale for character, and brought in an adjustable chaise from @Wayfair for a soft, cozy reading spot & a neutral soft pile rug. It’s functional, but still warm and collected — exactly how I want our home to feel. I linked the sources I could below.
