True to size except the $50 crewneck, whose sleeves are short on me (I’m 5’7”). Same goes for the $80 cardigan. I still love them, just scrunch up the sleeves 🤎Cardigan | Sweaters | Cashmere | Jenni Kayne | Quince | Affordable Finds ✨

Both the denim shirt and the Sézane Chlo are fitted, and they layer without bulk under the arm. I'm size 2-4 and went for a 4 in both. The AYR jeans are TTS.

Sale runs 9/18 - 9/28. Free express shipping with $175+ with code BRSHIP. The Italian lightweight wool is the reason to shop this sale: a lapel that rolls, real cuff buttonholes, and a felt undercollar on the blazer, with the pants cut from the same cloth. The satin has enough heft to hang rather than cling; size down on the cowl-neck maxi and the merino maxi skirt if you're between sizes. 40% off friends & family 9/18 - 9/27.

Sale runs 9/18 - 9/29. Free express shipping with $175+ with code BRSHIP. Start with the archive reissue jacket, waxed cotton with a corduroy storm collar and a removable plaid liner, based on a 1984 catalog original. The plaid utility shirt matches across the pocket and side seam, which is rare at this price, and the linen shirts have shell buttons and a collar that holds its shape. Everything is true to size unless noted; 40% off for friends & family.

I wear this cut a lot, from Gap's jeans (TTS) to these from Amo. Relaxed thigh for a modern ease, but enough definition to feel confident, beautiful, and comfortable on a date night. I'm wearing a pair of Prada 3" heels that are OOS, so I'm adding alternatives.

#LTKootd #LTKSeasonal

I'm 5'7", and I cut about 3/4" from the hem of these Sienna jeans to show more ankle. Mango's jeans have really great cuts, and you can't beat the prices. The tradeoff is that you have to wash the jeans every other time you wear them so they snap back into shape. My Frame and Gap jeans keep the shape with more wears. I'm wearing the loafers from Dear Frances – they're luxury at half the price. Love.

The swing cut calls for a 1950s throwback. To keep it easy and not cosume-y, I'm going with a stretchy skirt. It feels as comfortable as sweats but gives that long line.

#LTKootd #LTKSeasonal

My track pants are the Venice from Athleta, but the color sold out, and honestly? Not worth it. The waist stretches out. I am adding track pants that I do recommend and do stay looking good after dozens of washes, but I don't have them in the right color so I didn't photograph them.

Boots that pass the heel counter test: sculpted and smoothly wrapped, from $150 kitten heels to classic Polo Ralph Lauren riding boots. Note: I am not recommending the Veronica Beard in crinkle leather, only smooth and suede. If you’re in the US, size down at Massimo Dutti (I order 38, they ship 39 EU for my 38.5 sized feet).

#LTKootd #LTKSeasonal #LTKTall

My leather jacket picks after inspecting Aritzia's new drop: a Sézane bomber in more supple leather, a belted Massimo Dutti jacket (lined in polyester, where Aritzia uses cupro), a $270 Mango sheepskin (inspect it in person, since quality control is riskier at that price), and a Nour Hamour lambskin with silk-lined sleeves.

Square silk scarves that hold a rosette, from handrolled silks made in Italy to the Aritiza scarf that’s more dense than my Hermès to the polka dot Quince in the video 🌹

Checklist for straight jeans inspired by CBK's 90s vintage Levis. Fitted hips, easy thigh, then straight or slightly flared to the bottom. These details make the difference between effortless and "hmm, I just don't reach for these jeans." I am wearing the Frame Cigarette in Ravenna, and I found similar options on sale. From Frame, the Vertical Crop has a higher waist and a shorter length. The slight flare is the same as mine, and it also comes in a full length. Gap's jeans have a higher waist. I found options for different lengths, waists, and washes.

Love Banana Republic's stretch satin. It's got a natural gleem, and it's more breathable and easier to care for than silk. Size down if you're between sizes. I'm wearing this dress in a size 2, and I'm usually size 2-4. I'm 5'7", and it's a maxi length on me (but not too long). Beautiful sheen in person, and the fabric has heft. Really easy to steam, too (no need to iron).

J.Crew upgraded its cashmere to Grade A – the finest, longest fibers for smoothness and softness. I love how this sweater feels and how it's designed. It has some surface fuzz, so I'm wear-testing it for pilling and will report back. Now the weather needs to cooperate. I'm wearing an S, my usual size. My two outfit ideas: 1) CONTRAST: soft, boxy sweater against slim cigarette jeans – Frame, TTS. I'm in a 26, and I'm 5'7". Worn with Dear Frances loafers, also TTS and super soft. 2) HARMONY: relaxed sweater echoed by easy pants, on sale at Banana Republic. White hem of Uniqlo tee for crisp definition. Tee is unisex, so size down – I'm in an XS. My boots on the right are old Saint Laurent, OOS.

My picks from Frame's Friends & Sale, and use code RONI15 for 15% off non-sale styles. I'm size 26 at Frame, my usual size. I'm 5'7". Le Slim Palazzo is a cut I've loved for years, and I have it in three washes. If you're 5'7" or 5'8", it's the perfect length for flats/loafers/sneakers. Classic wide leg, not a palazzo as named. The Essential is the slouch I didn't know I can just have. They make me look cool even though I'm a nerd. Perfect ease, and the waist + hips are still defined so they're not swallowing me. I'm wearing the silk blouse in a small. Love the (safely) low neck and scarf tie.

#LTKootd #LTKSeasonal

BR exclude leather, suede, and cashmere from their Friends & Family sale. Here's what I'm loving, including softly gathered loafers that looked flawless in person (online photos show bad ruching on one pair but good on the rest). I love their suede skirts – the suede is rich and even, very velvety, and the execution was excellent in person.

#LTKootd #LTKSeasonal

Fall jackets that get this season's shape right without the price: Mango's leather jacket (the flap pockets move with you), Sézane's funnel-neck jacket in 100% cotton, Sézane's cropped A-line suede, the Uniqlo bomber (size up), Aritzia's cropped blazer as the Chanel proportion, and Polo Ralph Lauren's tweed blazer if you'd rather sit the trend out in a classic. Check funnel-neck height in person – too low looks meager, too high is hard to wear. Everything TTS. I'm 5'7".

#LTKootd #LTKSeasonal

LEFT: The Napoleon jacket adds structure without looking too corporate. The one I'm wearing is in tweed, so it's got softness. I'm wearing it with Frame's cigarette jeans. They remind me of CBK's 90s Levi's with their subtle flare + easy fit around the thighs. I always feel great in them. RIGHT: A cropped blouson with a cinched waist hits right at high or mid-rise jeans (low rise jeans would fight it). I'm always happy to find cute jackets that have a hood! I love this cool way of doing an hourglass shape with the AYR wide-leg jeans. Everything TTS. I'm 5'7".

Quince fall report card: the $225 wool-cashmere coat, the $350 camel hair coat, and the sweaters that stay smoother, plus the one silk blouse with a flat armhole seam. Skip the $175 Italian wool coat, the $50 crewneck, the baby cashmere, and the lace. I do enjoy the cashmere crewneck cardigan even though it’s the $50 sweater’s cousin – I scrunch up the sleeves, and it overall looks dainty on purpose. I de-pill once a season with an old school razor. Don’t use a cashmere comb – it made my pilling worse. SWEATERS IN POST: 1. Oversized cashmere sweater $120 - I think we’ve got another 1-2 years with these proportions. I do love it with a matching cashmere wrap 2. Cashmere tee and boxy sweater 3. Cotton boyfriend crew 4. Merino half zip 5. Cashmere crewneck cardigan

Unfuss your pearls the easy way – layer with a scarf. This look would be beautiful with beads or with chunky chains, too, because the jewelry itself is half showing. It's not that serious. It's also a formula you can repeat when you're in a rush. My scarf is 90cm or 35", and all the scarves here are that size.

#LTKootd #LTKSeasonal

My favorite linen button up is Banana Republic's for the fit and the crisp fabric. J.Crew's Baird McNutt Irish linen is softer and has a drapier flow, I also love that one. I'm wearing Gap jeans in a wash that's OOS, but their new washes are great, too. They look a lot like Khaite's Dane jeans ($580), and the measurements are almost identical. I'm in 2.5" heels, and I'm 5'7".

#LTKootd #LTKSeasonal

I get compliments every time I wear this denim shirt: it's fitted, so it's a bit unexpected for denim to look dressy, or for a dressy shirt to be in denim. Great collar, high armholes. Size up if you're between sizes.

#LTKootd #LTKSeasonal

The mall picks that surpass hyped brands, no contest: Gap's jeans give Khaite at <$100, J.Crew's updated classics, full-grain leather flats, camel hair at Quince, and long-wearing cashmere & merino from COS and Uniqlo, and Polo's classics. Plus the two comparison winners from the post: Sézane's 100% organic cotton trench at $320 and the COS version of the $1,890 sweater. Read the composition tag first; the Gap elastic-waist pants are the shortcut at the right price, not a tailored garment. LOOK 1: Polo Ralph Lauren denim shirt, Frame Cigarette jeans, HWW flats. LOOK 2: Banana Republic everyday linen shirt, Gap High Rise Stride Wide-Leg Jeans (similar to Khaite Dane). LOOK 3: Quince linen shirt, linen blazer, linen pants. LOOK 4: Quince trench coat, AMO jeans, Uniqlo tee

#LTKootd #LTKSeasonal

Banana Republic's cashmere is that quiet win that looks fresh, resists pilling, and gets priced fairly. I will say that my sweaters have gotten more fluffy, but they show surprisingly little pilling considering how much I've worn them. I'm starting here with fall's three most important silhouettes. The V-neck is coming back, which means more options for those of us who've been wondering where these went. The oversized, hip-length crewneck will still be going strong this season, but I wouldn't spend above these prices for it. The neck gets a lot of attention this fall, from funnel neck coats to turtlenecks. These will feel luxurious, and they'll layer over shirts nicely.
