Some of my favorite Old Navy jeans. I bought the high waisted loose fit, the high waisted wide leg and the extra-high waisted straight leg. All of these are so comfortable and the prices are great!

I love to sew and DIY my wardrobe. I’ll be sharing my sewing skills, homemaking and lifestyle journey with you. I’m over 60 and this is the best time of life for me!

Allow me to (re) introduce myself. I sew most of my clothes as well as some home decor items. Over 60 and loving life!

A quilted vest is the perfect layer for cooler days and nights.

I love pink all year. But here are some pink sweater options to add a little pop of color. 💕

Here's a little outfit inspo for when the weather gets cooler. Jeans, a floral print blouse, flats and a nice bag - perfect for errands, lunch or appointments.
I made my blouse, but I found this one on Walmart that's very similar.

Sewing and crafting can be hard on my nails. That’s why I like these Sheer Nail Blushes from Londontown. My nails look done and I don’t have to worry about nail polish looking chipped.

#LTKBeauty #LTKOver40 #LTKActive

Nail art done easy! I used these stickers and these two polishes to create a subdued, subtle autumn look. Fall nails

I’m still loving these Jenny Bird earrings from Nordstrom. They are the perfect size. They aren’t heavy at all, and they go with so many styles.

I bought this sweatsuit from Walmart and it's so stylish and perfect! I got the black and white which I paired with my black and white Nikes.

This is a great outfit for fall weekends or anytime to run errands.

Vests are trending this season and into the next. I made these, but there are plenty of ready-to-wear options as well!

Tried to do my own tortoiseshell nails, but I didn’t have all the right colors. But my nails still look good, so it’s not a total failure 😂.
Orange is missing and that’s what I really need.

Fall is here! Sweater weather and cozy comfy outfits. This suede skirt and cashmere sweater are from Walmart. There are still sizes and other colors available. Fall outfits, fall fashion, over 50 style, midlife fashion, fashion over 40.

Last chance to use the discount code! DSW has these and many other styles available. Check out their site.

One of the very first things I do before I start any project is figure out what to watch on the iPad. I love having something on in the background and it’s usually something I’ve seen many times already.

These art cases are perfect for storing sewing machine feet, small craft supplies, etc. You can label the sections to stay organized.

DSW just dropped a code for a discount. It’s only good from 9/21/26-9/23/26, so hurry. It’s the perfect time to get some fall shoes and boots.

This Nordstrom candle smells wonderful. It’s called Mediterranean Lemon and has a terrific, fresh scent. And it’s huge 😂.

This vibrant blue is trending this season. Here are a few ways to incorporate cobalt blue into your look.

Fall shoe fashion. Brown suede shoes shoes are in for fall. They look great with many things, but they really pop with yellow or gold. Here’s a few ways I’m wearing mine.

DIY alterations. To tighten up the waist of these shorts a bit, I inserted some elastic into the back from side seam to side seam. Checked the fit then stitched everything back up. Now these fit so much better and I’ll get more use out of them.

This Londontown Peptide Serum Concentrate is still working for me. I really like the easy application, light scent and the way it keeps my cuticles moisturized. It does this without and greasiness.

Decorating for any season is easy with Spoonflower Fabrics. I used this orange plaid that I bought from them on one side and another fabric on the other side to diy these placemats. I also do this for the holidays (and all year long).

Suede is everywhere for Fall fashion! You can diy and protect your suede bags and shoes with some water repellent spray. They will last through the fall season and beyond.

One of my favs! This pink lace cardigan is a memade item, but there’s some options to buy something similar.

#LTKOver40 #LTKootd

From caftans to pants and so much in between, these are some of the things I’ve sewn. This is a small sampling of what I’ve featured on my blog over the years.

Here’s a cheap and easy way to dry herbs (without a dehydrator). I wash them, pat dry on a paper towel, then place them in paper bags. I’ll leave them for a month (or more when I forget). Then I can pull them off the stems and store them however I like. I have also used a dehydrator for this, but that is going to use electricity and I’m generally not in a hurry for these. #LTKgarden

Here’s some charcuterie essentials (although we used to just call these party platters 🤭). You’ll have most of what you need, but the food. This book is really good with some great ideas. And you’ll want to keep the wooden board waxed so it doesn’t crack over time.

Sunday’s #ootd for church (before changing into something more casual).

Here’s an easy and comfortable game day look. Jeans, a graphic tee and sneakers will keep you comfy all day long. And don’t forget your stadium bag (clear) and sunglasses.

One of the easiest and most cost effective ways to change your home decor is by using slipcovers. I made these myself, but there are many options for buying ready made ones.
