Black and white. Still my one of my favorite duos!đ¤đ¤ Yes! Yes! Warmer palettes are having a moment, and honestly, theyâre beautiful. But I keep finding myself drawn back to this combination, and as a designer, I think I finally know why. Black and white isnât a color story. Itâs a structure story. Itâs about contrast, proportion, and the way light moves through a space. Get those things right and the result is undeniable. What makes it feel current rather than cold is all in the layering; a warm-toned marble with dramatic veining, brass hardware, natural wood floors, linen and bouclĂŠ textiles. Suddenly youâre not looking at a stark palette. Youâre looking at a room with real depth and intention. The same principle translates directly to how I dress. A structured black vest, a fluid white skirt, two-tone slingbacks. The outfit does exactly what a well-designed room does, it excludes confidence and style. Trends move. Timeless style doesnât. So, if youâre drawn to warmer palettes right now, I support that! But if you are still loving this high contrast color way, Iâd encourage you not to abandon it altogether. A little black goes a long way. But it can be fabulous!
