Throwing it back to one of my all-time favorite comfort meals - Maid-Rites, a fancy take on a classic Sloppy Joe! This is one of those recipes I come back to again and again because it’s easy to make, delicious, and perfect for busy weeknight dinners 🍽️ Try this recipe out for yourself - I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I do! 😋 Maid-Rites Recipe Ingredients: 1 cup chopped yellow onion 1 lb ground beef 1 box of Pepperidge Farm frozen Garlic Texas Toast 2 cloves minced garlic 1/4 cup beef broth 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar 1 tbsp light brown sugar 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp salt 1 tsp soy sauce 1 tsp yellow mustard 1/4 tsp black pepper 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese Pickle chips as toppings Directions: -Preheat oven to 425 degrees. -Heat skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and onion and cook for about 8 minutes until meat is browned and onions are softened, while stirring frequently. -Add garlic cloves and stir constantly for 1 minute until fragrant. -In a separate bowl, whisk together the beef broth, apple cider vinegar, light brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, soy sauce, yellow mustard, and pepper. -Pour sauce into skillet with beef and onion mixture for about 2 minutes until sauce has reduced slight, stirring often. Remove from heat -Arrange toasts in an even layer on a large baking sheet. Bake for about 8 to 9 minutes, until crisp and lightly browned but still soft in the center. -Remove from the oven and use a spoon to create a circle shaped well into the Texas Toast without cutting through all the way. -Spoon 1/4 cup of meat mixture onto each toast and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top. -Put the toasts with meat mixture back into the oven for about 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the toasts are crispy. -Top with pickle chips and enjoy!
