Staying in a real trulli in Alberobello honestly feels like living inside a fairytale ✨🏡

These iconic little white stone houses with cone-shaped roofs date all the way back to the 14th century and were built using a dry-stone technique, no mortar at all. Legend has it they were designed this way so locals could quickly take them apart to avoid taxes from the Kingdom of Naples 👀

Fast forward to today, and these once “temporary” homes are now beautifully preserved and even recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

But here’s the best part… you don’t just visit them, you can actually stay in one 🤍 Waking up in a trulli, walking through these magical streets, and soaking in the charm of this one-of-a-kind village is something I’ll never forget.

Have you ever heard of Altamura? 🇮🇹
It’s known as the bread capital of Italy… and honestly, now I get why.

I had the chance to tour Panificio del Duomo, a super traditional bakery that’s been doing things the same way since the 80s, using methods that go back centuries.

Their famous Pane di Altamura DOP is the real deal—made with local durum wheat and natural sourdough, following strict rules so it stays authentic to the region. Simple ingredients, slow process… and you can taste the difference.

And let me tell you… it was SO good. Like the kind of bread you could sit there and eat all day with nothing on it.

This is what I love most about traveling—finding places like this that aren’t flashy or touristy, just deeply rooted in tradition and culture. Real experiences, real food.

Honestly… I could have stayed here all day just snacking and watching life go by. 🥖✨

Giant’s Causeway is a famous natural landmark made up of about 40,000 hexagonal basalt columns formed by volcanic activity around 50–60 million years ago. As lava cooled and cracked, it created the unique stone formations that look like stepping stones leading into the sea. According to Irish legend, the giant Fionn mac Cumhaill built the causeway to cross to Scotland and fight a rival giant. Today, it is a protected site and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its geological importance, dramatic coastal scenery, and rich folklore. 🌍

I’ve loved orchids for as long as i can remember. Being a proud plant mom means my home is always full of plant babies, and some of my orchids have actually been with me for over 10 years. That’s one of the things i love most about orchids: with the right care, they just keep thriving year after year. 🌱

Because I care so much about keeping them healthy, I’m always looking for the best products to support their growth. Recently I started trying supplies from Sol Soils and I’ve been really impressed with the results. My orchids have been doing amazing since I started using them.

Today i refreshed the mix for a few of my plants by adding perlite and LECA balls to help improve drainage and airflow around the roots. It’s a small step, but it makes a big difference in keeping orchids happy and healthy.

Planning a family cruise and have questions?

A special mother-and-son adventure aboard the incredible Wonder of the Seas with Royal Caribbean International. Traveling with my 9-year old son turned this trip into something unforgettable, and according to him, it was the best vacation ever.

The excitement started the moment we stepped on board. His first mission was heading straight to the Boardwalk area to check out the classic carousel, explore the arcade games, and see the massive Abyss slide. From that moment on, the ship basically became his playground. One activity quickly became his absolute favorite - rock climbing. He kept going back again and again throughout the trip, challenging himself each time. Another highlight was trying the FlowRider surf simulator.It was so much fun to watch and try, though it's worth planning a little extra time since it's a popular spot on the ship.
When we stopped at the Perfect Day at CocoCay, we slowed things down a bit and spent time relaxing by the beach. There were also plenty of games happening in the sports area, so he jumped right into volleyball matches and even challenged me to a game of giant chess.

One of the surprises of the trip was the ice skating show onboard. I convinced him to come with me, and by the end he absolutely loved it. Sitting in the front of row made it even more exciting, the view of the performers on the ice was incredible.

Of course, we also made a stop at the sweet shop Sugar Beach, which felt like every kid's dream with wall full of colorful candy.

And a few times during the cruise he happily ran off to the kids club to hang out with other kids his age, which was totally fine with me because he was having the time of his life.

Trips like this remind me how special it is to travel together and create memories that will last forever.

Dollywood is home to a real, coal-fired steam train you can actually ride 🚂
The Dollywood Express isn’t a replica, it’s an authentic historic locomotive, powered the old-fashioned way with coal. As it winds through the Smoky Mountains, you’ll hear the whistle, smell the steam, and yes… it even shoots out real soot and ashes, just like trains did back in the day.
