31. The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen :: 8.5/10⭐️. The epilogueee OMG didn’t see that coming at all! I literally gasped out loud! Nellie and Richard have the perfect marriage. Richard is so kind and loving and attentive, but what lines underneath this perfect facade? I kept going back and forth as to who the villain was the whole time. I do feel like parts of the book dragged on a bit, but the ending made up for it. This book reminded me of another book I read, but it might give some of the book away if I tell you which one, so I’m not going to.

71. Hidden pictures by Jason Rekulak :: 9.5/10⭐️ 18 months sober, Mallory Quinn gets a job as a babysitter for 5 year old Teddy Maxwell. Mallory and Teddy get along quick. Teddy is a very gifted child, but he has an imaginary friend, named Anya, who Mallory begins to think is a spirit. Teddy loves to draw, and his drawings are usually pretty tame, but he also draws dark images. Which begin to take shape before Mallory’s eyes. This paranormal thriller will have you riveted until the very end! The twist at the end had me shocked. I listened to this one on audio and the narrator was perfect! I’m usually not into paranormal books, but this one was really good, not scary either!

70. Spare by Prince Harry :: unrated. This story seemingly picks up right where the most recent the Crown episodes leave off- Princess Diana’s death, and goes right from there to the rest of Harry’s life. He speaks of war overseas, partying, girls, the press and paparazzi, and life as a Royal. As with Britney’s story, this one also has given me a way different opinion on William and Kate. Harry got to tell his side of the story and I highly recommend, especially if you’re into British royalty.

69. Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult :: 9.5/10⭐️ wowowowow! This book was not at all what I was expecting! Very reminiscent of the Adnan Syed case. Olivia has had a rough life, but she is finally getting a fresh start taking over her father’s beekeeping business in her hometown and trying to be brave for her son, Asher. Lily Campanello also knows a thing or two about starting fresh, when she and her mom, Ava, move to the same small town after escaping their past. Asher Fields and Lily Campanello are happy and in love. One day Asher goes over to Lilys house to make sure she is ok, since she and Asher are in a fight and Lily has been home sick from school all week, but when he gets there, he finds the door open, and Lily dead at the bottom of the stairs. What ensues next is a murder trial where secrets are revealed and life as everyone involved knows it, is changed forever. This book was so heartbreaking and griping and SO good! This was another one that I thought about reading a bunch of times then stopped because I didn’t think I would like it but BOY was I wrong! The twist at the end was nothing at all what I saw coming! The chapters were very long, which is why it took so long for me to read it (might be a good one to listen to on audio), and it goes back and forth from past to present from Olivia and Lily’s POV. Character development was really good and you really get a sense of who they are and what they’re feeling. There are quite a few trigger warnings, so check those before reading, but I definitely recommend. Since the book talks so much about bees and honey, they even have a whole recipe section at the end of foods made with honey!

68. The Younger Wife By Sally Hepworth :: 7.5/10⭐️. Tully and Rachel’s father, Stephen is a successful heart surgeon (I feel like every book I read recently has a heart surgeon in it😂), and he is marrying Heather, who just so happens to be YOUNGER than the girls! The kicker, Stephen has to divorce his first wife, because she has dementia, and he’s going to marry his new wife. Going to be honest, I was not at all sure where this book was going. I kind of feel like it was all over the place until the last like 10% maybe? I still feel like I don’t have all the answers and was a little confused by it. I definitely was not expecting the ending tho. This was an eh for me.

67. Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus :: 9.5/10⭐️. Elizabeth Zott is a chemist but not your average chemist. She lives, practicing her craft in the 1950s and 1960s, a time when women, especially women in science were not taken seriously. The same which is very apparent in her coworkers at Hastings Research Institute. Elizabeth meets fellow chemist Calvin Evans, a famous researcher, whose views on equality are more progressive than his close minded coworkers. They fall in love and after a tragic world wind, Elizabeth finds herself a single mother, fired from her job, just trying to keep her life afloat. It’s at this time when a TV producer, who happens to be the father of a child at her daughter’s school, contacts her about hosting a cooking show. This show gives hope and empowerment and the possibility of change to the women watching. GUYS! This book was so good! I actually was hesitant to read it because I thought it was going to be a boring romance book, but not at all!! It was so empowering and frustrating and so good! I don’t have Apple TV, but it’s a series there if you want to watch. HIGHLY recommend this book!

66. Girl, Forgotten by Karin Slaughter :: 9/10⭐️ when 17 year old Emily is killed on prom night, she is just trying to figure out what happened to her, but her digging lands her in a grave. Andrea Oliver, our main character from book 1, becomes a US marshal and her first assignment is in the small town where Emily was killed. Andrea feels a deep connection to the case and must find out who killed Emily 40 years ago. Why might you ask, did I read book 2 of I didn’t like book 1? Great question. I actually had this book borrowed from the library first, and had to read book 1 because.. order. I’m SOOOO glad I did. This book was fantastic! I couldn’t get enough! It was much less graphic and violent than its predecessor thankfully and I really enjoyed it! Highly recommend if you like thrillers! I listened to this one on audio.

65. Pieces of Her by Karin Slaughter :: 8/10⭐️. Andrea and her mom, Laura, are getting coffee when a gunman comes in and starts shooting. When he turns the gun on Andrea’s mom, instead of being afraid, she stands up to the gunman and saves Andrea. The video of this exchange goes viral, but Laura has been trying to keep her identity on the down low for almost 30 years because Laura may not be who she says she is. Now she must save herself and her daughter from her past. This book was way more gorey and detailed than I was expecting. Like I almost stopped listening a few times because it was just too much. I didn’t want to rate it too low because it was a good book, just not my preference. The chapters were very long and some of the characters really annoyed me. Perfect book to finish on thanksgiving 😂

64. Same Time Next Summer by Annabel Monaghan :: 9/10⭐️ Sam and Wyatt grew up spending summers on the Long Island beaches. But now they haven’t spoken in 14 years and Same is engaged to the perfect man in the City. When they decide to get married at the Beach, Sam’s nostalgia comes back in full force, and she’s about to make some life changing decisions. This was a cute book! Very sweet, kind of reminded me of Every Summer After in a way. The chapters were VERY short and it was a quick read. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a not so spicy cute read!

63. The Happy Ever After Playlist by Abby Jimenez :: 9.5/10⭐️ two years after her fiancé unexpectedly dies, Sloane Monroe meets Jason, who is actually musical superstar Jackson Waters. They fall madly in love but their love doesn’t come w its fair share of complications. Can they beat the odds and make their love work? This was a cute book!! This is technically the second book in a series, but it was written first lol. The Friend Zone is book 1, and written second. These 2 books should be read before the Part of Your World duo. There is some character crossover between the books. I love Abby Jimenez’s writing style so much! And the audiobook narrators are always amazing! Also, if you’re a dog lover you will absolutely LOVE this book.

62. Becoming Free Indeed by Jinger Duggar Vuolo :: unrated. Another life story, this one from one of the Duggar girls from the well known TV show on TLC, 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On. My mom and I used to watch this show when I was younger, so I was interested to see what Jinger, the 6th child from Michelle and Jim Bob had to say. This book was a little different than I was expecting it to be, and it’s very heavy on bible verses, so if you’re not into that, I would skip this. Jinger discusses her experience with Bill Gothard and the IBLC principles and how she discovered that the teachings that she grew up with did not work for her. It was an interesting book and gave more of an insight into how she was feeling during the years when she was on TV, and after and the struggles she had to overcome growing up in such a unique background. It does not go against Christianity, so if you’re hesitant to read it because of that, she only talks of the issues with the IBLC principles.

61. Her Second Death by Melinda Leigh :: 8.5/10⭐️. This short story follows investigator Bree Taggert. When a man turns up dead in his car, and detectives go to tell his soon to be ex wife, she reveals that her daughter was with him and now she is missing. The detective uses her own childhood traumas to get an idea of where the missing child could be. It was a very quick open shut case, I listened on my way to work.

60. The Pumpkin Spice Cafe by Laurie Gilmore :: 8/10⭐️. I had really high expectations for this book and it just fell flat for me. Jeanie’s Aunt Dot retired and sold her cafe to Jeanie. Logan, a local farmer was caught by Jeanie early one morning delivering pumpkins for the cafe, and was immediately smitten. But Logan has some past relationship trauma to work through before he can think about being with Jeanie. This was definitely a fall read, and although there was a fair amount of spice, it was less than I was expecting given reviews i’ve seen. I kind of feel like it dragged a bit. I’ve also never seen Gilmore Girls, and i’ve heard this book is basically that.

59. The Woman in Me by Britney Spears :: I’m not going to rate this because it’s literally the story of someone’s life. That being said.. WOWZA. There was a lot going on behind the scenes that the public just had no idea about. I have a whole new opinion not only about Justin Timberlake, but also of Jamie Lynn. It’s honestly no wonder Britany acted the way she did. If you read this, what did you think?? I listened to this one on Spotify premium

58. Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman :: 9.5/10⭐️ Eleanor Oliphant is very socially awkward, and has no problems saying exactly what she’s thinking to anyone. She’s navigating life alone save for a once a week phone call from her mother, which she does not look forward to. She develops an obsession w a local musician and develops a plan to meet him. But when she and the new IT guy at work, Raymond, save a man on the street after an accident, her life changes in more ways than one. This book has many serious plots, but told in a deadpan funny way. Check trigger warnings prior to reading to this one. Never underestimate the power of a friend, kindness, and good therapy. The ending bumped my star rating up. I went into this book blind and actually really enjoyed it! I listened to the audiobook and most of the characters are read in a Scottish accent, and I did have a hard time understanding the narrator at some points, but overall it wasn’t a big deal.

57. Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard :: 7.5/10⭐️. I just could not get into this book! The ending was really good, but for some reason I found my mind wandering very often. Mare Barrow is of both Red and silver- red blood with silver powers. But she’s not the only one. This book d follows Mare on her quest to find more New Bloods like her. I’ll continue the series, but so far this book was my least favorite.

56. All the Dangerous Things by Stacy Willingham :: 10/10⭐️ talk about a psychological thriller 😮‍💨 ! I was VERY psychologically thrilled! One year ago Isabelle Drake tucked her baby in for the last time. By morning he was missing and Isabelle and her husband, Bens, life changed forever. She is unable to sleep from the grief and turmoil plaguing her mind, because she is keeping a deep dark secret, and is so worried that she’s, unknowingly, done something terribly wrong because when you start to believe something from a young age, it sticks with you. Forever. WOW, this book was GOOD, guys! I really didn’t know which way the story was going to go, but the ending was so good and I definitely did not anticipate it! The chapters are pretty short. Definitely a must read! Trigger warning for child death.
