If you’re starting this series first before Sarah J Maas’s other book series’ I highly recommend reading ACOTAR first! I listened to this one as a graphic audio. It’s honestly the way to go! Graphic audio plays like a movie in your head! It’s so cool!

28. Binding 13 by Chloe Walsh :: 5/5⭐️ WOAH! 611 pages of WOAH! 15 year old Shannon has been beaten and bullied her whole life, not only at school, but at home as well. Things get so bad that Shannon has to transfer from a public school to a private school. On her first day, Shannon is hit in the head with a rugby ball by none other than Johnny Kavanaugh. THE Johnny Kavanaugh, Rugby prodigy and hottest guy in Ireland. But Shannon knows Johnny has no interest in her. But he just can’t stay away. WHOSH this book was a rush! I devoured it. Heavy heavy trigger warning for child abuse and CRAZY cliffhanger at the end. I already downloaded book 2, and can not wait to read the rest of the story! The character development was top tier and I really felt for the characters. While it takes place in high school, it didn’t read too young. Definitely not YA, I’ll tell ya that much. HIGHLY recommend!

27. The Fury by Alex Michaelides :: 3.5/5⭐️ Lana, Elliot, Kate and a few other people venture to a private Greek island where the winds are furious. The trip ends in murder, but who did it..? I liked how the author wrote the narrator speaking to the reader. It was a little boring, but very twisty at the end, which saved it!

26. Powerless by Lauren Roberts :: 4/5⭐️ this romantasy is a cross between hunger games and ACOTAR. I thought this book was good! The chapters were long in the first 2/3 of the book, then got shorter towards the end. I think I would have loved it even more if I read it in less time and didn’t fall asleep shortly after opening my kindle..

23. Lights Out by Navessa Adams :: 4.25/5⭐️ Aly is into guys who wear masks, and she found her mask wearing prince charming on tiktok. Little does she know, one drunken text will change everything. This book had what seemed like 5 minutes of trigger warning in the beginning, which actually got me a tad nervous, but honestly it wasn’t bad at all! I listened to this book and maybe because the male narrator who does most of Abby Jimenez’s books, or maybe because the banter made it way more light hearted than the warnings seemed. But I actually really liked this book! Picture: a darker Abby Jimenez style. Heavy on the spice. 🔥

It was definitely still a good book though and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

19. Deep End by Ali Hazelwood :: 3.75/5⭐️ Scarlett is a diver on a team and one of her teammates is having issues with her boyfriend, Swede, Lukas. Scarlett tried to give her friend advice which turns into her friend pushing Scarlett and Lukas to develop a relationship. I thought this book was good, but I felt like something was missing? And kid if what I wasn’t expecting. Ali Hazelwood is a hit or miss author for me!

21. Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins :: 4.5/5⭐️ this book follows Haymitch Abernathys story. I love that it felt very much like the original hunger games story, which is probably why this book kept my attention! It was definitely depressing at some points, but still an awesome read!

20. Beautiful Ugly by Alice Feeney :: 3.75/5⭐️ Grady Green is an author whose wife is missing. He was on the phone with her when she disappeared, after getting amazing news himself. A year later, he needs to write more books, so he is sent to a remote island off Scotland to try to get his ability to write back. Amberly is as remote as you can get with just 25 residents who call the island home. When Grady arrives on the island he starts to see his wife everywhere. While on the island, secrets are revealed and things aren’t as they appear. I thought this book was ok. I was expecting more, and it kind of fell flat. Interesting concept though!
