39. Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry :: 4/5⭐️ Margaret Ives has lead a very interesting life and then seemingly falls off the grid for a few decades. Now she is ready to tell her story. Alice and Hayden are competing for 1 month to write Margaret’s life story. A lot can happen in a month tho, and because of the NDAs both competitors sign, neither can discuss what they speak about. But Alice and Hayden have something special going between themselves. While I LOVED the ending of this book I fell asleep within the first 6 pages when I first started reading. It was a great book, but didn’t hold my interest as much as other books. I really liked the concept and would still recommend though!

38. When you disappeared by John Mars :: 4/5⭐️ one morning Catherine wakes up and Simon isn’t next to her. His side of the bed hasn’t even been slept in. He’s probably gone to work early. When his coworker also calls looking for him a full on manhunt ensues to no avail. Does Simon actually want to be found tho..? Everyone has moved on but then a knock at the door changes everything and 25 years later, Simon is back, and he’s got a story to tell. This was not the book I was expecting it to be. It was still a great book though!

The Restoration Garden by Sara Blaydes :: 4.25/5⭐️ Julia is hired to restore the gardens of Havenworth Manor, a once beautiful mansion in the English countryside that has landed in much disrepair since it was bombed during the early parts of WWII. Margaret wants the gardens to reflect exactly how they looked in 1940. Julia must first figure out what they looked like during that exact time in history without any photographs or descriptions of the gardens during that time. She uncovers the family secrets and the truth behind what really happened at Havenworth. Jumping between the present days restoration and late 1930s-1940 this books gives a glimpse into what it was like to live in England during WWII. I really liked the way it was written

36. The Academy by Elin Hilderbrand :: 3.5/5⭐️ Tiffin Academy is a New England boarding school with it’s own set of drama. It was just rated #2 in the country. But when a new app, zip zap, takes the boarding school world by storm, all of Tiffins dirty laundry is sprayed all over the app. Who started the app and how can it get taken down before all of this bad press ruins Tiffins reputation!? I felt like it was a good story, but I kind of feel like it just ended.

35. Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reed:: 4.75/5⭐️ omg the tears I spilled over the last few chapters of this book😭. Joan has always been fascinated with the stars and space and when her sister called her to tell her NASA was looking for astronauts she jumped at the chance. Little does she know that going into the space program will quite literally change the trajectory of her whole entire life. In true TJR fashion, this book was so well written and we really get a feel for every facet of the characters lives. I felt frustrated and happy and sad along with the characters. They call this a love story, but it’s so much more than romantic love as well. Such a good story!

34. Caught Up by Navessa Allen :: 4/5⭐️ the second book in the Lights Out Series; this book follows Aly’s cousins story. This one wasn’t as dark and didn’t have as many trigger warnings as book 1. This one was a different kind of spicy than book 1 as well.

33. If I did it by the Goldman Family :: unrated. This is the hypothetical story of OJ and Nicole Brown Simpson. We watched the documentary a new months ago and I finally got the chance to listen to this book. Very interesting and eye opening, and I def recommend if you’re interested in learning more about the case.

30. When no one is watching by Alyssa Cole :: 4.25/5⭐️ a story about the gentrification of a neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. Sydney has lived in her neighborhood all her life and now relators are knocking on her door often, her neighbors are “leaving” in droves, and the stores that have been there her whole life are changing overnight. But does this all seem a bit odd, or is it all in Sydney’s head..? I completely agree with the description of this book being a combination of Get Out and Rear Window, add in a bit of The Hate U Give and PHEW! you’ve got yourself a psychological thriller! I was at the edge of my seat for this one, and gasped a bunch of times during the last half of the book. I went in blind so I had no idea what this book was even about, I just liked the cover!

31. Bridesmaid for Hire by Meghan Quinn :: 3.75/5⭐️ Maggie is on vacation in Bora Bora and guess who walks into her same hotel.. Brody McFadden!, Maggie’s brothers best friend and her sworn enemy. But the wedding of the century is also happening at the same hotel, and Maggie just so happens to be in the wedding business. So she lends a helping hand trying to get some publicity for her growing business. Brody is also there trying to further his career. The two devise a plan to help each other out, but that plan involves being fake boyfriend and girlfriend. But when sparks start to fly, is it only one sided, and can they really grow their business by being at this wedding? I actually read the first 20% of this book a year ago lol. I just picked it up to finish it and while it was a little too clichè, I did like the story line!

29. House of Sky and Breath by Sarah J Maas :: 4/5⭐️ the second book in the Crescent City series follows Bryce and Hunt after the events of book 1. If you’re starting this series first before Sarah J Maas’s other book series’ I highly recommend reading ACOTAR first! I listened to this one as a graphic audio. It’s honestly the way to go! Graphic audio plays like a movie in your head! It’s so cool!
