With such busy schedules, it’s hard to carve out some time for a proper date night but we try to do something at least once a month! For the occasion, I wore this chestnut maxi dress that has a slip and sheer overlay on top complete with velvet floral details. I often steer clear of cap sleeves since the cut tends to look unflattering on my arms but the little poof and cinch styling on it somehow makes it look decent! I wore gold earrings along with some simple black strappy heels to complete the look!

Playing with blues today! If there’s an opportunity to spruce up an otherwise boring item, I’ll take it! I was looking for a crisp collar button down and this midnight blue one caught my eye. The glistening buttons were the first thing to stand out among all the other classic pieces on display; I knew I had to add this to my collection immediately! Instead of opting for a simple bottom, I paired this top with an asymmetrical brocade pencil skirt. To add a little more jazz to this look, I wore my jeweled Kurt Geiger heeled mules - the silver crystals that span the top of these heels match the buttons on the button down!

The warm weather looks like it’ll be here to stay so I’m pulling out all my swimwear! I have an affinity for one piece swimsuits since it’s more flattering on my figure. This midnight blue ribbed piece isn’t basic! There’s ribbed fabric, underwire, criss-cross detailing on the back, and thick shoulder straps to provide added comfort.

If I’m wearing a swimsuit around a resort, I often coverup and accessorize. I felt like color blocking was the way to go here so I paired this with my ruffled orange mini skirt from Leifsdottir. This was one of my favorite brands but they were discontinued many years back… Anyways, since my clothing was already bold, I kept my accessories to a minimum with a neutral colored bucket bag and circle sun hat.

A monochromatic blue look for a cool work day! It’s finally warm enough to wear sleeveless tops to the office again! I paired this slate grey vest that has silver buttons running down the middle with my midnight blue high waisted trousers. These are the most flattering pair of trousers I own that hug my legs in all the right places and makes my behind look a little more perky! Everything in my closet used to be mini. From skirts to shorts, it was all way above my knee. However, as I’ve matured, I find myself gravitating towards less revealing looks. I recall not being the midi style’s biggest fan but now, it’s my preferred cut. I got this floral silk satin midi skirt as season 3 of The White Lotus began and every time I look at this, it transports me to a tropical place. I’ll take any excuse to dress up so themed parties are always an exciting opportunity for me to tap into the creative part of my brain. My company had a 1920’s themed New Year’s party and it was wonderful to see everyone all dressed up! I wanted a unique dress and this asymmetrical fringe one definitely checked that box. This mahogany dress has beautiful beading on top and since it was a bit chilly, I layered up with a faux fur shawl.

I have no idea how the ladies of the 20’s did it but my head was throbbing by the end of the night. The headpiece left an enormous indent after wearing it for 5 hours; I was so glad to pop it off my forehead and let my skin come back to its normal form!

Since there was already so much going on, I kept the rest of my accessories simple. I went with a single strand of pink freshwater pearls on top of a single pearl drop necklace. I wanted to keep with the times so I got this beautiful gold metallic art deco top handle evening bag. It was really moody inside with the lighting so pictures don’t do this look justice but it was such an incredible night with even better company.
