The beautiful part of painting at this stage of the renovation is that we hardly have to tape anything! We had no floors, no doors, no trim, no outlets/switches - there’s nothing! Other than the ceiling line.

We finalized our paint color for most of the man floor!

We chose the Infinity HGTV Home by Sherwin Williams exclusively at Lowe’s. This paint is stain repellent, scuff and scratch resistant and antimicrobial! After pouring 9 months of love into every detail of the home we knew we wanted our walls protected.

Our color: Neutral Ground 🤍

This color went perfectly with our beautiful natural stone that will be coming in the next few months. We have 4 different rooms that will showcase this beautiful stone so we needed a color that complimented it.

Stay tuned for the color for our primary closet, coat closet and guest bathroom!

#ad A re-wheel-y big upgrade just arrived!

Last fall we abandoned this old wheelbarrow after we loaded it up with concrete and dirt and the wheel popped. In the rush to get the house insulated before winter, we left the broken wheelbarrow outside with every intention of dealing with it, someday. Well winter came and winter went.

This walk in pantry was planned with every detail in mind. We measured every shelf to fit each custom spice jar, glass container and canned goods. It was built into the actual wall between the studs and trimmed out. I can’t wait to incorporate a similar smaller wall in our new pantry!

One of my favorite features from my last house that we’re incorporating into this home is the LG wash tower in the primary closet. There is something about having the unit right there in the same room that is hard to beat.

This closet is about the same length but half the width of our new one that we converted from an old bedroom.

Unboxing our mailbox brought me so much joy. The one that came with the house was falling apart after a snow plow hit it last winter and it never fully recovered. The magnetic numbers on this are incredible. I ordered it for my last house and got so many compliments on it that I had to order it again.

Our future coat closet!
We are utilizing every inch of this house possible and even adding square footage by taking some from the current garage. We plan to add on a massive 3-stall garage addition and the current garage will become a home gym and workshop. With that happening, we decided to add a 12’x6’ coat closet for all the winter things!

We can’t wait to have everything organized in here.

Our future primary closet 💕

We eliminated this old small bedroom and transformed three bedrooms into our future primary suite. Inside you’ll find 12x13 closet that will be complete with an LG wash tower and floor to ceiling IKEA PAX and Billy units! We can’t wait for this simply room to become the jewel of the primary suite

This mini pneumatic palm nailer may be small but it is MIGHTY 💪

We have used this time and time again from vaulting our ceiling, securing our LVLs, building floor joists and more.

If you would have told me how many times we’d use this to mix concrete I’d have said you’re crazy.

Jokes on me because we poured over 10 footings, filled in the crawlspace floor and leveled out where the old fireplace was. We still have 2 trenches in the basement to fill in as well!

Same goes for our concrete saw and jack hammer…never thought we’d justify buying both of those over renting them but here we are! Glad we invested in them early versus renting each time we needed them.

Just another day in the life use for my pruners!

I love using these to trim my flowers and make them last longer. It’s the perfect tool for the gardener/flower lover in your life.

You can use these on big branches to prune trees or on a whole bunch of asparagus to trim them quickly.

Spring time is almost here and that means starting to plan our outdoor projects and gardens.
