ad You know that feeling when you make a few small changes to a space and suddenly it becomes your favorite spot in the whole house? That's exactly what happened here. I partnered with Lowe’s to give our porch a festive 4th of July refresh, but honestly, I didn't change all that much. The hydrangeas and lavender were still blooming and the pine arch from spring is still hanging around. I just layered in a few patriotic touches, added red, white, and blue lighting, and somehow the whole space feels completely different. And if I'm being honest, I thought I'd love it most during the day. But at night? That's when it really shines. Now I keep finding excuses to sit outside with a mocktail and admire a porch that probably gets more attention from me than the rest of our renovation project. #ad When we partnered with Lowe’s last winter and installed our permanent outdoor lights, I thought they'd be for Christmas. Turns out, we've used them way more than I expected.

Right now they're set to red, white, and blue for the Fourth of July but in a few weeks they’ll be pink and blue for our gender reveal! We've used them for everything from holidays to everyday curb appeal.

The only thing I'd do differently? Install them in the summer. Because hanging lights is a lot more enjoyable when you're not battling cold weather, ice, or snow.

Turns out, the color often comes down to the soil.

#ad This project was LONGGG overdue. With summer knocking on the door we figured it was finally time to color match this random spot of our window trim. I (very easily) peeled off a patch of the existing paint, about an 1”. Then I took it to Lowe’s and they were able to color match it exactly! Now we can use this to patch in all our siding around our new windows this summer!

1. Some new fresh flowers - whether you have a yard or a patio. The beautiful part of painting at this stage of the renovation is that we hardly have to tape anything! We had no floors, no doors, no trim, no outlets/switches - there’s nothing! Other than the ceiling line.

We’re 9 gallons of paint in and we have 12 more to go 😳

We finalized our paint color for most of the man floor!

We chose the Infinity HGTV Home by Sherwin Williams exclusively at Lowe’s. This paint is stain repellent, scuff and scratch resistant and antimicrobial! After pouring 9 months of love into every detail of the home we knew we wanted our walls protected.

Our color: Neutral Ground 🤍

This color went perfectly with our beautiful natural stone that will be coming in the next few months. We have 4 different rooms that will showcase this beautiful stone so we needed a color that complimented it.

Last fall we abandoned this old wheelbarrow after we loaded it up with concrete and dirt and the wheel popped. In the rush to get the house insulated before winter, we left the broken wheelbarrow outside with every intention of dealing with it, someday. Well winter came and winter went.

One of my favorite features from my last house that we’re incorporating into this home is the LG wash tower in the primary closet. There is something about having the unit right there in the same room that is hard to beat.

This closet is about the same length but half the width of our new one that we converted from an old bedroom.

Unboxing our mailbox brought me so much joy. The one that came with the house was falling apart after a snow plow hit it last winter and it never fully recovered.
