These are my three easy steps to get your porch ready for the season:

1. Layer a neutral scatter or jute rug and welcome mat. This exact jute rug is no longer available but l’ll link some similar ones!

2. Add baskets or planters and fill with trees and mums...don’t be afraid to mix faux and live plants!

3. Top it off with fall wreaths and a few pumpkins!

Happy September! It’s so hot I can’t go up in the attic to get my fall bins out lol. I’m trying to resist buying new decor this year, but I did just get the stems and I’m obsessed! I’ve been wanting some like these for a long time, but they are usually so expensive. These came out to only $10 a stem! I used three in this vase, which is also one of my favorite finds!

Please tell me I’m not the only person that will put off a 15 minute project for eight months because it feels bigger than it actually is!🤦🏼‍♀️

Our kiddos have been sleeping up here every night since the bunk beds were finished, but the sun comes streaming in around 6 AM - not cool in the summer! My spring/summer front porch decor! I loved all the color and these UV resistant flowers and trees are the best. I’m all for low maintenance, no watering needed. Just put it out and forget it! I also updated our porch swing mattress cover this year and so far it has been super easy to keep clean. This is my favorite outdoor rug. I have it in three different sizes because it was made to last!

🧨You’re gonna want to make this 4th of July Crowd Fave!🇺🇸🍓🫐🍰 This trifle is delicious, easy to make and oh so festive! See the full recipe below and save it or share with a friend!❤️

Angel Food Cake (I used store bought!)
2 boxes Cheesecake Instant Pudding
Large Tub Cool Whip (thawed)
Strawberries
Blueberries

1. Using half of the angel food cake, tear into bite-size pieces and press into the bottom of trifle bowl.
2. Mix one box of pudding and pour on top of cake before it sets.
3. Add a layer of cool whip.
4. Add a layer of berries, making sure you put them against the sides of the dish too!
5. Layer other half of cake.
6. Layer other box of pudding.
7. Layer berries, reserving enough for the top.
8. Layer remainder of cool whip.
9. Using a knife, draw a star design on top of trifle.
10. Put blueberries inside the star trying to cover as much cool whip as possible.
11. Slice strawberries into triangles and fill in remaining white space.
12. Enjoy! Happy 250th Birthday America!🇺🇸

This is how I hang our American flag bunting on our front porch! I’m usually not crazy about command hooks but these work really well to hang these flags – the trick is you have to clean the spot with rubbing alcohol first to make it adhere really well and it does work! I usually hang mine before Memorial Day and they last well through the Fourth of July! Perfect for your patriotic, red, white and blue front porch!

Front porch spring refresh! Our porch swing was feeling a bit neglected so I gave it a spring refresh with Veradek!

I always like to start with a clean slate and anchor the space with an outdoor rug. I love layering planters of varying heights or shapes to create interest. Veradek has become my go to for outdoor planters because of their durability, all-weather performance, and variety of color, size and shape options! For my porch I went with clean white planters and added color with UV resistant trees and flowers. Then I added a blanket and pillows and now my swing is ready to enjoy all season long!
