DAY 4: House Problems No One Talks About ✨ Cracked Shower Grout 🫠

5 days to complete 5 things around my house that I’ve been putting off that are driving me absolutely insane. I’ve been dreading these things for months, so we’re gonna time how long it actually takes me to finish each one.

We hired a contractor to renovate our master bathroom a few months ago and it’s been an absolute nightmare. Everything is falling apart and he’s ghosting us and won’t take accountability… So apparently if you want something done right you have to do it yourself. The bench that he installed is starting to come apart and a lot of the grout is cracking so I’m going to teach you how you can easily repair it with some sealant to avoid water damage.

The squeaky door on my son’s room wakes him up every single night once I’ve gotten him down in his crib and it’s driving me absolutely insane! Been driving me insane for 8 months and took me 8 seconds to fix. 👏🏼

Changing out a light fixture can feel really intimidating, but it’s actually super easy and very beginner friendly!

STEP 1️⃣ Find the breaker to turn off power to the room you’re working in, double check that the power is off by flipping the light switch, if the light doesn’t turn on you’re good to go. Don’t touch the wires until you’re sure the power is off!!

STEP 2️⃣ Unscrew the knob to remove the glass shade

STEP 3️⃣ Remove the light bulbs and screws holding the light fixture to the ceiling

STEP 4️⃣ Twist the wire nuts counterclockwise to remove then separate the white and black wires making sure they aren’t touching each other

STEP 5️⃣ Screw in the new light fixture’s mounting plate by lining up the screws with the holes on the sides of the light box

STEP 6️⃣ Have someone help you hold up the light fixture while you attach the black wire to the black wire, and white to white. Screw the wire nuts clockwise and lightly tug on each wire to make sure they’re secure.

STEP 7️⃣ If your light box has a copper wire, attach the copper wire to the copper wire on your light fixture the same way you secured the other wires in step 6. If your light box does NOT have a copper wire, attach the light fixture’s copper wire to the green screw on the mounting plate by wrapping the wire around the screw clockwise then tightening the screw.

STEP 8️⃣ Screw your light fixture into the mounting plate and…

VOILA ✨ NO MORE BOOB LIGHTS!!
