![Last year, after much research across podcasts, articles, wellness practitioners, and books, I came to the realization that my fascia are frankly all screwed up. [EMOJI]
Fascia are the connective tissue that wrap through our body, holding our muscles, organs, and bones together. Fascia erode with age and while you can get aches due to repeated strain, stress is a huge contributing factor. Many Eastern/holistic practitioners believe that our fascia are where we hold tension, stress, fear and any trauma. As for me, I’m super high strung (hi [EMOJI]) and hold all of my stress, anxiety, and tension in—and then I literally feel the pain in body. (FML) The mind-body connection is real.
It’s weird being super healthy—I take vitamins daily, eat an anti-inflammatory diet, sleep 8 hours, and I am so fortunate to have zero allergies, ailments, or illnesses—but my stress feels like it’s literally killing me.
The following are proactive ways I address my fascial pain—and also support overall wellness, anti-aging, and anxiety.
