Happy Friday! We have some new people around here, so I thought it would be a great day for a little FridayIntroduction! My name is Jillian and I'm a socially conscious  lifestyle blogger, journalist, and public speaker who connects women with social causes and sustainable brands, to empower them to use their everyday decisions to make a big impact. ⠀ 1️⃣In my free time outside of writing, I love singing and art. 🎼I challenged myself to reconnect with both of those things this year! ⠀ 2️⃣If I could live anywhere other than Houston, I’d live in New York. 🚖I chose Houston for my relationship and have since fallen in love with this amazing city but there’s still a piece of me that gets invigorated every time we visit NYC. ⠀ 3️⃣I was editor-in-chief of my college newspaper, so I’m a bit grammar obsessed. Lame fun fact, but I’ve always found editing to be cathartic! ⠀ 4️⃣My favorite shows are Game of Thrones, The Good Place, Veep and Arrested Development. My boyfriend and I even call my brother “mother boy” but no one else in the family gets it. ⠀ 5️⃣I am a more of a paperback reader than and e-book or audiobook. 📚In fact, I can’t listen to audiobooks because I’m so picky about the narrator’s voice! I love curling up with a book and my pup on the weekends. My favorite contemporary authors are Celeste Ng, Jonathan Safran Foer, and Donna Tartt. ⠀ Thanks for hanging out with me and following along!
