Had a great mini staycation over the holiday weekend at Theray in downtown Delray. The location is amazing (you can walk to everything on the Ave) and the staff was super nice (shout out to the bartenders on the rooftop on Sunday and the valet guys! They went above and beyond!)

Sometimes my posts are pep talks to myself. When I talk about fueling my body, it’s a reminder to eat healthier that day. When it’s about not making excuses to skip the gym it’s so I appreciate the fact that I’m able bodied enough to physically workout. To quit my moaning and procrastinating and get moving. When I talk about the choices we make that we are all in control of it’s a reminder to myself that *I* am in control of my life. To stop blaming people, places and things that are beyond my control and to take accountability and responsibility for every choice I make

I’m not a preacher and I’m not trying to lecture anyone. I get lots of DMs thanking me for the “reminder I needed to hear today”. I’m right there with you guys. I don’t like things sugar coated. Sometimes I need to kick myself in the ass and give myself some tough love. I post what I’d want to hear from a true friend in the hopes that others are in the same boat as me

Im not for everyone. I’m for those people that don’t want people telling them what they WANT to hear. I’m for the people that want someone to reach down into their soul and tell them what they NEED to hear. This is how I function best. I need a mental strength self check sometimes. That either resonates with you or it doesn’t

People are living here in Florida. Kids GO to school, everyone is “allowed” to work, kids are are playing sports. People are happier and healthier both mentally and physically. For the record Florid’s deaths per capita rank 27th in the country compared to PA at 12th. Think beyond the beating drums of the hysterical, fear mongering news outlets. Turn it off. Fear is a low level emotion. Focusing on fear only brings you anxiety and wasted time. Get out of your head and start demanding that you live again but doing just that, getting out there and living 💓

The kids can’t wake us up before 6am and they are NOT allowed down the stairs till we are up, teeth brushed and coffee in hand. They have to get a pic at the top of the stairs too

It’s a fun quirky tradition that I’m sure my kids will torture their kids with one day! Full disclosure. I never look like this Christmas morning. I usually look like I got run over by a bus

It’s been a rough week. Not just for me but for so many people I know. When you own a small business you usually know several other small business owners. Many are *really* struggling. It’s getting to point of no return for so many. It’s incredibly heart breaking to hear their despair, confusion and hopelessness. Add that to the inevitable other issues we’re all facing right now and it left me feeling exhausted, helpless and overwhelmed

One of our clients @h2lstudio sent a message to the studio today that resonated with me. Sometimes you see or get these messages when you really need them. “Sometimes in life all you can do is hang on.....hang onto anything, but just hang on”

Maybe you’re like the many people I know and are just “hanging on”. Hang tight. Don’t keep everything bottled up. Reach out to someone you trust if you need help. You’re not weak. You’re exhausted, you’re trying to figure “it” out (whatever your “it” is)
•
It’s been months and months of living hour by hour or day by day. This is not normal. Human beings function best when there’s a beginning, a middle and an end to a “story”. I wish I had more profound, concrete answers, but I don’t. I’ll tell you I’m not giving up hope though.
