Tomboy chic might be my favorite kind of outfit. Vintage Levi’s with a delicate, vintage-inspired satin lace top, clear sandals and a vintage Celine clutch. It just feels like such a little vibe!

The secret to getting this extra-slouchy, ’90s-inspired fit is going even bigger than your usual vintage size. My actual waist is 24/25 inches, but I normally buy a vintage W27 or W28 for a regular fit. For this pair, I went all the way up to a W30.

Because older 100% cotton denim has no stretch, that extra room creates the relaxed drape through the waist and hips instead of squeezing. Just make sure you check the actual garment measurements because vintage sizing can vary so much from pair to pair.

Add a suede or leather jacket for fall and it’s the perfect date-night look. I linked the full outfit, Plus Levi’s that give a similar look size up for a slouchier fit!

I went to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale to surprise my husband with a fresh bottle of his favorite Le Labo cologne… and then bought myself five pairs of sunglasses. 😂

Damp skin helps your products absorb better, which means better hydration, plumper skin, and a stronger, more effective skin barrier. Your products can actually penetrate instead of just sitting on top.

Think of it like this:
dry skin acts like a shield,
damp skin acts like a magnet.

When your skin is slightly damp, it’s more permeable, so ingredients can move in more easily.

How to do it:
• apply right after cleansing while skin is still slightly damp
• don’t fully dry your face, just gently pat if needed
• use a mist or an essence to keep your skin slightly damp as you layer your products

A few things to keep in mind:
• this works especially well for hydrating products
• you’ll likely need less product because it spreads more easily
• be more cautious with strong actives like retinol or exfoliating acids, since damp skin can increase penetration and irritation
