The secret to getting this extra-slouchy, ’90s-inspired fit is going even bigger than your usual vintage size. My actual waist is 24/25 inches, but I normally buy a vintage W27 or W28 for a regular fit. For this pair, I went all the way up to a W30. Because older 100% cotton denim has no stretch, that extra room creates the relaxed drape through the waist and hips instead of squeezing.
