Small things that helped me fall back in love with getting dressed⤵️

~ finding inspiration that was exciting, but also felt attainable and utilized things already in my closet

~ focusing on building outfits, not just buying exciting stand alone pieces. A flashy set can be tempting to run out and buy, but learning recipes for how to mix basics is way more helpful in the long run

~ Experimenting! Setting aside time to try out different outfits without feeling rushed. For me that was Sunday mornings - I could take my time putting together a cute little outfit before I headed to the farmer’s market without the stress of a time crunch.

~ thrifting most of my clothes has given me a way to try out new styles without making a huge financial commitment. Sometimes something just doesn’t work, but I don’t need to feel guilty I spent a ton of money or created new waste just to experiment

~ time! For me, loosing my connection to my style didn’t happen overnight, and finding it again didn’t either. If you feel like you’re trying to get back in touch with that side of your self, give yourself time and patience
