If your home ever feels flat or “off” and you can’t quite figure out why — this is probably the reason 👇🏼
Most people decorate all at once instead of layering intentionally.
Designers, on the other hand, always think in layers: base, middle, and top.
Each one has a purpose, and together they create that balanced, magazine-worthy look (without needing a huge budget).
Let’s break it down 🪞✨
🏛️ Base Layer — Furniture
This is the foundation of your space. It’s everything that sets the tone and defines flow — your sofa, rug, bed, dresser, or dining table.
Think scale and placement first. Even the prettiest decor can’t fix a layout that doesn’t make sense. I always recommend starting with your biggest piece (like a sofa or bed) and building out from there before adding anything decorative.
💡 Middle Layer — Art & Lighting
Once your foundation is solid, add your visual interest. This is where your personality really starts to shine through.
Art, mirrors, sconces, pendants, and table lamps all add depth and dimension.
A common mistake I see? Relying only on overhead lighting. Layered lighting makes your home feel warm, cozy, and designed.
If a room feels dull, it’s usually because this layer is missing.
🕯️ Top Layer — Styling Objects
This is your finishing touch — the detail that brings the whole story together.
Pillows, throws, trays, candles, vases, books, stems… these are the pieces that make a space feel lived in yet intentional.
Mix textures (glass + linen + wood), vary heights, and style in groups of three for that effortless designer look.
✨ The Rule:
If something feels off, don’t buy more decor — step back and ask yourself:
“Which layer is missing?”
Decorating in layers is how you create rooms that feel collected, cohesive, and done. It’s the difference between a space that looks styled and one that feels curated

How to decorate a bedroom like an interior designer (Amazon edition 😉)✨
Today’s topic: mixing wood tones — because not everything has to match to look cohesive. The key is balance 🤍
I like to tie different wood tones together using decorative elements like art, area rugs, and soft textiles that blend the tones throughout the space. It creates that layered, designer look — all without the price tag.
Which tone are you most drawn to — light oak, walnut, or espresso? 👀
Let’s talk lighting 💡✨
Choosing the right lightbulbs makes a huge difference in how your home feels — cozy and inviting vs. harsh and cold. Here’s how to actually read those lightbulb boxes 👇🏼

1️⃣ Watts (W): This used to be the main way we measured brightness — but now it’s often replaced with lumens. Higher lumens = brighter light. You’ll still see watts listed, but for modern LED bulbs, lumens are the number that really tell you how bright the bulb will be.

2️⃣ Kelvin (K): This measures the color temperature of the light.
• 2700K–3000K → warm, golden glow (my favorite for that cozy, inviting vibe 🌤️)
• 3500K–4000K → bright, neutral white — great for kitchens & bathrooms
• 5000K+ → cool daylight — perfect for offices or task lighting

Personally, I’m team warm glow all the way — I want lighting that feels like golden hour, not a doctor’s office 😂

💡Tip: Always check those two numbers on the box — lumens for brightness and K for warmth or coolness. They’ll tell you exactly how your space will look once the lights are on.

Are you team warm glow or bright white?⬇️

Let’s talk about the Ralph Lauren Christmas trend that’s taking over this year 🎄✨ Think timeless, cozy, and sophisticated — the kind of Christmas that feels like it belongs in a mountain lodge or a country estate. Here’s how to get the look at home:
1️⃣ Stick to a traditional color palette — deep reds, forest greens, maroon, and navy never miss.
2️⃣ Bring in classic textiles like tartan, gingham, and rich wool throws for that heritage feel.
3️⃣ Keep it classical over kitschy — no Grinch-green decor in sight 😂
4️⃣ Candles are your best friend — they instantly add warmth and that moody, elegant glow.
5️⃣ And of course, you need a good Christmas playlist to complete the vibe… should I share mine? 🎶
It’s giving old-money holiday charm with a cozy twist ❤️✨

Things I’ll always find chic 🤌🏼✨
1️⃣ The color white — whether it’s an all-white outfit or white florals, it’s forever timeless to me. @abercrombie for white pants👏🏼 @brooklinen or @onequince for quality bedding!!
2️⃣ Pinch pleat curtains — the easiest trick to make your home look more expensive, trust me. My favorite for this look is @twopagescurtains
3️⃣ Thick, high-quality toilet paper — I discovered the magic thanks to Khloé Kardashian and have never looked back. @cottonelle Brand ALWAYS😍
4️⃣ Jalapeños + Sauvignon Blanc — spicy, crisp, and somehow just feels elevated. 💕really loving @avaline right now!!🥂
5️⃣ Tortoiseshell and burlwood in home decor — a little niche, but always so stunning and sophisticated.🤎
6️⃣ High-quality flatware — because heavyweight cutlery makes even a Tuesday night dinner feel fancy. 🥂 check @williamssonoma or @crateandbarrel ✨ specially loveeee @sabre.paris 🌟
Unpopular opinion: I love open-concept homes 😌✨
I know they’re not everyone’s favorite, but when they’re done right, they feel airy, inviting, and effortless.
Here’s how to decorate one like a pro 👇

1️⃣ Pick a color palette and stick to it religiously.
If decorating isn’t your strong suit, neutrals are your best friend — they’ll instantly make your space feel cohesive and calm.

2️⃣ Use area rugs to define spaces.
This is the most important part. Without them, everything blends together and feels like one giant room. I always recommend XL rugs in open-concept layouts.

3️⃣ Layer in lamps.
The biggest mistake people make is skipping lighting — you need multiple lamps to keep things cozy instead of sterile.

4️⃣ Think about walkability.
Since it’s one large space, you should be able to move around easily. Keep pathways open and your furniture layout intentional.

If you do these four things, your open floor plan won’t feel like a warehouse — it’ll feel like a dream home. 🤍

#LTKHome #LTKStyleTip
Homes have gotten a little too copy + paste lately 😬
If you’re craving something more creative or whimsical in your space — here are a few ways to bring back personality and charm ✨
1️⃣ Funky lampshades — If your lamps feel a little boring, swap the shade! Pattern, pleats, or scalloped edges instantly make them feel designer.
2️⃣ Fabric-covered mats — A DIY favorite! Wrapping your photo mats in patterned fabric adds so much texture + color to a gallery wall.
3️⃣ Sconces — So underused! There are tons of wall sconces that work with rechargeable puck lights — no hardwiring needed.
4️⃣ Patterned curtains — Step away from plain white! Patterned or colored curtains (even café curtains in the kitchen!) bring so much life and warmth.
5️⃣ Statement furniture — This one’s an investment, but I love when accent chairs or side tables are a little funky. They instantly give your space character.
It’s time to make your home feel you again 🤍
Which one would you try first? 👇

Some people have niche obsessions with Taylor Swift. Some people love birds.
Mine? Small boutique hotels — and the interior design inside them. 🫶🏼✨

One of my absolute favorites sits in Lake Como, Italy: Passalacqua. The history alone is breathtaking — at one point, it was home to Pope Innocent XI, and it’s now been restored into a 24-room boutique hotel that feels less like an overnight stay and more like a life-changing experience. 🕊️🇮🇹

I’m endlessly inspired by the European architecture and Italian interior design — it’s truly one of the most stunning places on Earth.

Should I make this a whole series? 👀💭
literally the perfect sweater for the beige loving girlies🤎🫶🏼

If your bedroom isn’t your favorite place in the house… let’s fix that. 🛏️✨
Here’s exactly how to create that high-end, boutique-hotel feeling (without spending a fortune):
1️⃣ Symmetry – If you’re decorating a bedroom for the first time, start here. Symmetry instantly makes a room feel calm, balanced, and designer-approved.
2️⃣ A real headboard – I know some skip it to save money, but trust me — a headboard anchors your space. Go for a taller one to balance the weight of your furniture and give your room presence.
3️⃣ A large rug – This one’s non-negotiable. Your rug should be big enough that all furniture sits on top. A properly scaled rug completely changes the look and feel of your room.
4️⃣ Quality bedding – You use it every single day, so make it something you love. Quality doesn’t have to mean pricey — I’m obsessed with [insert your fave brand like Brooklinen or Parachute here].
5️⃣ Less wall decor – Bedrooms should feel peaceful. Skip the gallery walls and let the texture of your rug, furniture, and linens create the visual interest instead.
Which of these are you going to try first? ⬇️💭

#LTKHome #LTKFindsUnder100
I’m about to ruffle some feathers 🪶😅 but here are 3 things I hate in home decor (and how to fix them 👀):

1️⃣ Olive trees – I love them in theory, but we’ve gotten out of hand 😭 The key is finding one that’s full and realistic — not tall, skinny, and sad looking. You want something that actually brings life and movement to your space. I linked some of my faves that actually look good 👏

2️⃣ Lightbulbs – Hear me out: lighting can make or break your home. If your space feels like an operating room, it’s time to turn off the overheads 🙈 Stick to warm, cozy lamps and soft lighting instead — it changes everything.

3️⃣ Family gallery walls – Controversial, I know 😬 but they’re really hard to get right. If you’re going to do it, make sure your frames have mats, the photos are all in the same tone or section, and PLEASE hang them straight.

Which one do you agree with most?! 👇✨

I hate to tell you this… but some of y’all stink 🫣👕✨
If your towels smell like mildew, or your clothes never come out fresh—your laundry routine is the problem, not your nose.
Here’s the combo you actually need (cheap + effective):
1️⃣ Skip the “fancy” stuff and go with a good detergent.
2️⃣ Replace softeners with white vinegar (seriously—game changer).
3️⃣ Add borax. It disinfects + deep cleans like nothing else.
Bonus if you’re a little bougie like me:
🌸 Scent beads — Bath & Body Works Flannel for cozy fall vibes, or Palo Santo if you want that clean, aesthetic “Le Labo” energy.
🌀 Toss the dryer sheets — use dryer balls instead! Add a few drops of essential oils (lavender, citrus, eucalyptus… I rotate them weekly).
Result? Clothes that actually smell clean, stay fresh longer, and make laundry less of a chore. 🧺✨

September favs!✨🤗
Fall is the perfect time to cozy up your entryway and make your home feel warm and inviting right from the first step. Here’s how I layer in seasonal charm for that welcoming curb appeal:
1️⃣ Start with a statement wreath – I always choose something oversized and full of texture. Think dried leaves, mini pumpkins, faux eucalyptus, or wheat bundles. Nothing smaller than 22 inches—it should fill the space and make a bold first impression.
2️⃣ Layer your planters – Mix tall faux branches like maple or olive with real fall florals like mums, cabbages, or pansies. Vary heights, tuck in gourds or mini pumpkins, and use cozy containers like woven baskets or rustic ceramic pots to add charm and dimension.
3️⃣ Add fall accents – This is where you can really get creative. Layer in solar lanterns, clusters of pumpkins, candle-filled hurricane jars, or even cozy plaid throws draped on a bench. It’s those thoughtful little extras that bring the whole space together.
It doesn’t take much to bring the magic of fall right to your doorstep 🍁 Save this post for inspo and tag me if you decorate your porch this season!

Effortless chic is all in the details 🖤
– A pretty hand soap bottle that makes the sink feel special
– Tiny treasures with meaning, tucked into shelves + trays
– Delicate wine glasses (because juice tastes better in them, too 😉)
– Crisp white sheets that give hotel vibes every night
– Glass hurricane candle holders that add that cozy, glowy magic
It’s the quiet little luxuries that make a home feel elevated. ✨ What’s your chic must-have?

3 Common Home Decor Mistakes (and how to fix them!) 🤭✨
🌸 Curtains hung too low — Raise your rods 6–12 inches above the window frame (or all the way to the ceiling) to instantly make your ceilings feel taller.
💕 Rugs that are too small — Layer an affordable jute base with a stylish rug on top. It adds the right scale and gives that designer look.
🌤️ Skipping paint samples — That swatch in the store won’t look the same at home. Always test samples on different walls and check them throughout the day.
Which one have you been guilty of? 🤪⬇️
P.S. Should I make a part 3 with even more mistakes (and fixes)? 👀
