My sister came down for Halloween, and by the end of her trip…the tree was up! 😆🎄 Sometimes all you need is an extra set of hands—and a little borrowed Christmas spirit—to get yourself into gear.

Oldest sisters just have a way of doing both so well. We grew up in a home where Christmas was pure magic. To this day, we still talk about getting the “Christmas tingles” and how we can’t wait to do all the festive things together.

One thing our parents did so beautifully was tradition. Year after year, they carved out moments that stuck with us—shaping the kind of memories we now want to give our own kids. As a parent, I see now just how much love, time, and sacrifice that really takes.

It wasn’t just about the decorations—it was about legacy. And I’m so grateful that even now, we get to keep creating those memories together. ❤️ @smithtribe5

@magnolia new favorites from Magnolia looking lovely for slow supper

Welcome to The Afternoon Pour. Today I’m making a twist on the @starbucks iced pecan crunch latte, using coconut milk for a dairy-free treat. But if you haven’t tried their version before, you should check it out first! It’s delicious!

Big thanks to @nespresso for helping me pull the perfect shot of espresso at home — it’s the foundation of this little indulgence!

☕ The Afternoon Pour | Iced Pecan Crunch Latte (with Coconut Milk) Recipe:

For the Pecan Syrup:
•In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup sugar,1 cup water, and 3/4 cup chopped pecans.

•Bring to a light simmer, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
•Let it bubble gently for 3–4 minutes, then remove from heat and let steep about 10 minutes.

•Strain out the pecans and pour the syrup into a jar. (Keeps in the fridge for up to a week!)

To Assemble the Drink:
•Brew a strong shot of espresso using your @nespresso (or any espresso maker) and let it cool slightly.

•Fill a glass with ice, then add 1–1½ oz of pecan syrup.
Pour in your cooled espresso.

•Top with 6 oz coconut milk and give it a gentle stir.
For that signature creamy finish, whisk together a little coconut milk + splash of vanilla + drizzle of syrup to make a light foam. Spoon it over the top.

•Finish with a sprinkle of crushed toasted pecans + brown sugar for that “pecan crunch” magic.

The first Slow Supper of the season.

A hearty beef stew, slow-simmered in our new @crockpot Designer Series — the kind of meal that quietly works while the day unfolds.

We used @verdefarms grass-fed beef for this one, and I have to say… it might just be the best stew we’ve made yet.

Here’s to slow meals, cozy kitchens, and the simple joy of gathering back around the table. 🕯️

BEEF STEW CROCKPOT RECIPE:

1 yellow onion (diced)
2 stalks celery (chopped)
2 big carrots (sliced)
4 russet potatoes (peeled + cubed)
1 can corn (drained)
1 can green beans (drained)
1 can diced tomatoes
2 lbs grass-fed beef (we used @verdefarms 🤎)
4 cups beef broth
Salt + pepper to taste (we like a lot)

Add everything to your @crockpot, pour in the broth, season generously, and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 6.

Serve with a loaf of warm bread and too much butter — because that’s how it’s meant to be. 🍲
