There’s just something about taking the “basic” pieces in your closet and layering them in a way that makes you feel cute, comfortable, and a little more put together. 🤎

We chose bamboo sheets from @onequince because they’re unbelievably soft, stay cool through the night, and somehow make our bed feel like a luxury hotel. Safe to say… we’re obsessed.

For years, this little pink room has quietly become one of the most loved spaces in our home. And honestly? I think it’s because it gave me permission to stop playing it safe.

The color is called “Just Rosy” by PPG Paints (Pittsburgh Paints), and while it may look bold at first glance, it actually reads incredibly soft and warm throughout the day. It changes with the light in the prettiest way and somehow manages to feel playful, cozy, vintage, and timeless all at once.

I think so many people are afraid of using color because they assume it will feel overwhelming, but what I’ve learned through this room is that color can actually make a home feel more lived in, layered, and personal.

Every host needs these four herbs in their garden. 🌿

No garden? No problem. These easy-to-grow herbs thrive in pots on a sunny windowsill, so they’re always within reach when you’re cooking or hosting.

1. Basil: One of the first herbs I ever grew—and still a favorite. It’s perfect for pesto, bruschetta, Caprese, and simple summer dishes. Basil loves warm weather and is incredibly easy to grow.
2. Mint: A go-to for summer entertaining. It’s a perennial that comes back each year, but it spreads quickly—so keep it in its own pot. I love it in sparkling water, mocktails, cocktails, fruit salads (especially watermelon and blueberries), and mint ice cream. It also makes a lovely fresh tea.
3. Rosemary: The herb that instantly elevates a meal. I use it for roasted potatoes, meats, breads, and sauces. It also makes a beautiful garnish—tucked into a drink or tied to a napkin.
4. Thyme: Underrated and incredibly versatile. It pairs well with roasted vegetables, meats, soups, breads, pasta, and even cold salads. It quietly makes everything taste better.

I was trying to figure out how to give our old headboard new life because, honestly, it had reached the point of being downright gross 😅 I started looking at new headboards and was absolutely shocked. Every one I loved was somewhere between $1,500-$4,000 and I simply could not justify it.

Then one day I looked over at this $19 Amazon tablecloth I’ve had for years, the one I’ve always loved because it’s 100% linen and somehow gets softer and prettier with every wash, and thought…wait a second. What if I just covered the headboard with fabric?

Truly, that one little thought sent me spiraling in the best way. Before I knew it, the bed was taken apart, I had a staple gun in my hand, and there was no turning back 🤪 That’s pretty much how things tend to go around here.

And honestly? It ended up becoming one of my favorite projects we’ve ever done. It gave our bedroom so much more character, saved us thousands of dollars, and was shockingly easy.

And every time I look at it, I’m reminded that so much beauty comes from simply starting before everything feels ready.
