At one point last year I looked at our headboard and thought… this cannot stay. 😅 After years of use (kids climbing into bed, morning coffee spills, everyday life), the fabric had officially crossed into the “this is kind of gross” category. So I started hunting for a replacement. What I really wanted was a patterned headboard with a little character. But every option I loved was way out of our price range. Then I realized I already had a fabric I couldn’t stop thinking about. A pattern I’d been using in our dining room for years and loved more every time I pulled it out. So instead of buying a new bed, we reupholstered the one we had… using a tablecloth. And because it’s linen, the more it’s washed and lived with, the softer it becomes over time.
