✨BOURSIN CHEESE APPETIZER✨

You guys know I am all about easy when it comes to food. Well, this no-prep, takes less than five minutes, totally delicious appetizer fits the bill! Made this for a holiday gathering, and it was absolutely devoured! Highly recommended!!

This dish is from my local Target Bullseye section, so check your local store!

Recipe:
-use number of Boursin cheeses in order to line bottom of your dish — I used two here and found it to be the perfect amount! If you’re using an 8x8 or similar I would use 3-4
-apply layer of fig jam (or I might try pepper jelly next time!)—this is to your liking.
-add chopped pistachios
-top with hot honey

I served at room temp, but you could bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes for a creamier dip!

A little post-Christmas styling around my home 🫶🏻 While I miss the glow of the tree, it feels nice to have my spaces feel back to a semblance of normal.

I very much still keep stems and tones out that reflect the season…at least until February when I want pinks and whites 🤭 I make sure to keep or add layers and soft lighting to make the spaces feel warm and cozy. I want the spaces to feel like a spot you want to settle in to—something in contrast to the weather outside.

We grabbed this game for my football obsessed son for Christmas! It’s actually really fun and so easy with little set up! I think it’s advertised for 8+ but my 5 year old plays no problem. I think it’s similar to Tenzi! It’s supposed to be played at a fast pace but we slow it down a little for now 🫶🏻

1. In this Midwest January is the longest month of the year (iykyk) and I SO look forward to February!
2. Valentine’s Day is my second favorite holiday after Christmas (I mean, who doesn’t love, love?)
3. Both my kids have February birthdays so it’s a big month in our house!

✨MY FAVORITE PURCHASES OF 2025 THAT I’M BRINGING INTO 2026✨

Some of these were a splurge or I grabbed to make my home “pretty”, but mostly these are just every day items that I use! Honestly there’s more I could add to this, but when I gave it a good thought these were my top 20!

Honorable mentions are the Quince linen quilt in my younger son’s room as well as our Carepod no-hassle humidifier, but since they were both gifted I didn’t count them!

So obviously it took a long time to complete, but that was just life this year. I’m not here to do projects for the sake of making content. Life is more important—and we did lots of fun things as a family, including a trip to Disney. We also ended up tackling a less sexy, but necessary project that was new basement windows and window wells.

I definitely have some DIY projects that I have had on my list but just haven’t done. 2026 is going to be the year of doing! Some of them are relatively easy, too, but I think will make a big impact. We also have a larger project we plan to tackle (non-DIY) at the beginning of the year. Excited to take you along for the fun!

Another find from the spring launch of the Hearth & Hand collection at Target! This is a utensil holder but could also be used as a vase! I love the color, shape, and glossy texture of this. I have been wanting to change my utensil holder for awhile now but have been holding out on a piece that felt right. This is perfect!

The branches and leaves are very realistic looking! It’s 28” so not very tall, but provides lots of styling options. I plan to put this in my powder room!

Grabbed a few new finds from the spring Hearth & Hand collection at Target. These are perfect and very realistic! I have the larger stems of these from a few seasons ago and they are some of my favorites for spring. This is such a great size for styling in smaller spaces since it’s only 9” and doesn’t take up much space. I plan to use these on my nightstand!

✨let’s clean Christmas up✨

It’s always a sad day when we take the holiday decor down (our trees are still up at least for another day), but I like to have my house set and refreshed for the new year. I spent the last couple of days taking down all the Christmas decor, wiping down surfaces, and washing all the bedding. I would never rush anyone to take their decor down, and sometimes I leave it up until New Year’s, but after sitting on my butt for 4 days soaking up all the Christmas fun, I was ready to do something and start the year with a clean slate. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Just know, there is no right or wrong way to do it, and you don’t have to judge what anyone else does. 🫶🏻

We gifted our boys a @tincan.kids phone for Christmas this year and it’s been absolutely hilarious and endearing to watch them talk to friends and family. Anytime they are on the phone I can’t help but smile. ✨CHRISTMAS ICE CUBES✨

Here’s an easy, last minute recipe you can make for a little extra holiday cheer! I make these fun ice cubes for Christmas (and holiday parties) every year. They are great even if they aren’t in Christmas tree form!

To make:
-Add orange slice, cranberries, and/or rosemary
-pour cranberry or pomegranate juice (I used a premixed option) until 3/4 full
-freeze for at least 2 hours
-place in a glass and pour Prosecco over the top

Voilà! A fun, festive way to serve drinks for the holidays! 🎄Let me know if you try it!
