✨WAYS TO UPDATE YOUR HOME: UNDER $100✨

Last week I shared my favorite ways to update a home for free and mentioned I was going to make it a series, so without further ado, let’s get to it! It’s pretty amazing with a small amount of money what you can do and make a big impact!

1) PAINT—okay, I can’t emphasize this enough, PAINT, PAINT, PAINT! A room, a wall, a door, trim, a piece of furniture, the options are endless! Whether you want moody or neutral, bright and bold, or light and airy paint can change the entire vibe of a space. And do everyone a favor and skip the internet. Just pick a color that brings joy (but samples are your friend 🙃)

2) PEEL AND STICK TILE: we used this in our laundry room and it’s still one of my favorite DIYs to date. It literally changes the look of the entire space and is relatively easy to complete! We’ve had ours two years now with zero issues. I’ve seen the backsplash tiles that also look amazing! It’s a great way to test out a look, too, before fully committing.

3) WAINSCOTING/MOULDING: a 4x8 panel of beadboard costs under $25 at Home Depot. We’ve used this in our laundry room and my younger son’s room. It’s a very beginner friendly DIY! Adding a chair rail or frame moulding can also be inexpensive depending how many walls you are completing and on the size of the room.

4) ARTWORK: I love to buy artwork on Etsy or my favorite @collectionprints! I oftentimes buy digital downloads to save on cost and you can have them printed so many places. I prefer to splurge a little more on larger pieces and prefer glicée prints! Thrift frames to save on money or sometimes HomeGoods has really awesome deals, too 🙌🏻

5) STEMS: Swapping out stems can be a fun way to add some color to a space. If you have a black thumb like me 🙃 there are so many faux stems look very realistic. It’s a great way to refresh a space each season, too!

Adding these to my kiddos Easter baskets! We have been loving our Yoto player! My kids have shown some interest in learning Spanish so I thought this would be great! Linked what I could. I got these from the Yoto website so I can get rewards!

I said they didn’t have an XS size but they do. Was hoping this was a little more of a true orange color, but I still like the brightness of it. But I’ll probably be returning due to size and color and looking for something similar with a better fit!

Got 3/4 colors in this raw hem hoodie from @ae and they are a great fit! Grabbed my true size S. Hit right below the hip so not cropped. It is the perfect amount of oversized. Great weight for spring through fall!

I love a good basic tank! I wish I had gone with my instinct to get my true size. Someone had said to size up one so I grabbed a M but feel like the straps feel sort of loose. Not sure if washing/drying would help enough with it or not. So knowing this, grab your size accordingly!

I do actually really like these jeans, but the sizing feels very off. Wearing my true size 2R here and there is so much room in the waist! Need at least one size down!

These are two really great personal bags for your next flight! I have used both of these on recent flights and they both fit under the seat. The backpack also can work as a carry on as you can see, so if you’re using it as a personal item you can’t stuff it full or you’ll have issues. But I LOVE all the compartments it has.

My two biggest complaints about the other bag is that I wish it had broader, more padded straps and a larger pocket to keep a laptop separate, but overall still a great bag!

One thing I have way too many of in my closet is sweatshirts. It’s the thing I can’t quit because I just love how effortless they are, how cozy I feel, and how these days they can still look elevated. This one from @American Eagle Outfitters has a great hip length fit and raw hem! Comes in several colors—I got three of them because they are such a great basic! And even better they are currently on sale!

Very comfortable base (has a memory foam cushion) and the thong is a soft faux leather. They are a little on the narrow side so just be aware!

Can we talk about this yellow?! Omgsh, it’s the perfect soft, muted yellow. LOVE! This off the shoulder fleece is perfectly lightweight for spring. Love the off the shoulder look. This is a size S but I may try sizing up to a M for a little longer fit. The length in the arms is great, though!

I can’t tell you how many pairs of these shorts that I own. They are the BEST! Pockets on both sides, including one zip. The wide elastic band is super comfortable and it even has the elastic cinch. I wear an XS in these!

These boxy tees I have in multiple colors. I wear these for workouts and everyday because they are just the best fit. Also wear an XS in these!

This dress is new to me but it’s a great length, super soft, and I loved the ribbed fabric. Even better? It comes with a built in bra with removable padding 🤌🏻
