I’m slowly collecting these over time and adding to our set as we go, because they’re one of those things I know we’ll have for life. Everyday dinners, dinner parties, holidays, all of it.

There’s an art to mixing all the things you love without the room feeling like it’s fighting for your attention.

For me, it comes down to contrast and scale. If the pattern on the bed is larger, I’ll bring in something smaller in the rug. I’ll mix materials at the windows rather than repeating the same treatment. Warm woods get paired with metal, soft upholstery with harder surfaces, straight lines with curves.

Nothing has to match, but everything should have a relationship to something else in the room.

Different patterns, materials, shapes, tones + finishes that are thoughtfully layered so your eye keeps moving, but the whole space still tells one story.

There are no words for these pants! Somehow these are actually chic while feeling like the most comfortable thing I own, a combination I’m always skeptical of until proven otherwise.

They’re quite literally the softest pants ever, no lie, but it’s the fit that really got me. Drapey, ridiculously flattering and polished enough to make an outfit feel pulled together while I’m essentially getting away with wearing pajamas.

Safe to say I won’t be taking these off now through fall. Well worth the hype and investment.

I will always love the character of something that looks like it’s been around for years but in a mudroom with a toddler, a golden retriever and a revolving door of real life, sometimes new is the smarter choice.

I haven’t properly said hello in a while and with so many new faces here lately, it felt like a good time. Hi! 👋🏼

My favorite whites aren’t really white at all 🤍

They’re a mix of creamy, nuanced shades that shift throughout the day depending on the light, and you kind of have to be okay with that. Sometimes they read a little warmer, sometimes softer, sometimes almost perfectly neutral. That’s the beauty (and fun) of choosing a white with some personality.

My case for warm neutrals:

Neutral gets put in the boring box far too quickly. I’d argue you just need better neutrals.

Warm wood, creamy paint, veined stone, aged brass, woven textures and pieces that feel collected instead of perfectly matched. There may not be a lot of color happening in our kitchen, but there’s plenty of character—and that’s always been the point.

Quiet? Sure. Boring? I’ll respectfully disagree.
