There are no words for these pants! Somehow these are actually chic while feeling like the most comfortable thing I own, a combination I’m always skeptical of until proven otherwise.

They’re quite literally the softest pants ever, no lie, but it’s the fit that really got me. Drapey, ridiculously flattering and polished enough to make an outfit feel pulled together while I’m essentially getting away with wearing pajamas.

Safe to say I won’t be taking these off now through fall. Well worth the hype and investment.

I will always love the character of something that looks like it’s been around for years but in a mudroom with a toddler, a golden retriever and a revolving door of real life, sometimes new is the smarter choice.

This rug from the newest @magnolia by @joannagaines x @loloirugs collection gives me exactly what I’m always looking for: that collected, almost-found-it-vintage feeling, without making me precious about actually living on it.

Comment SHOP for the rug + two new pillows from the collection that I snagged, and, to shop my home room by room.
I’ve never believed that having kids means waiting to have the home you really want.

This kitchen was designed for both: the dinners, the dropped snacks, the constant coming and going, and the quiet mornings when I get to stand here with a cup of tea and appreciate every little detail we chose.

Beautiful and lived-in were never opposites to me. If anything, I think the life happening inside a space is what makes good design feel even better.

And yes, I still want the marble. The pretty hardware. The paint color I obsessed over. This is our real life, too and I want the backdrop of it to feel like us.

You can get all the details, including paint colors, and shop each item by commenting SHOP.
I’ve never believed you have to choose between a home that’s beautiful and one that’s actually lived in.

Here, there are kids runnin through. A dog. Toys that migrate from room to room. Spills, snacks, busy mornings and all the little routines that make up our days. And I still really care about how our home feels and looks, because design genuinely brings me joy.

If it brings you joy too, lean into it. The function and the pretty can coexist. You can create a home that works hard for your family and still feels layered, thoughtful and like you.

If that’s the kind of home you’re creating too, follow along 🤍 And if you see something you love, comment SHOP and I’ll send you the link to shop our home room by room.
A home should give you a little more with every turn. A place to land, something useful within reach, a collected piece that says something about you.

The best corners do both: serve a purpose and add another layer to the story of your home.

Comment SHOP if anything you see inspires a corner of your own. 🤍
BIGGEST SALE! Window treatments are one of those details that can completely change a room by adding softness, warmth and that final layer that makes everything feel finished.

And if yours have been sitting on the to-do list, now’s the time 👀 With code MEG, you can get up to 70% off @selectblinds sitewide through tomorrow!

Comment SHOP and I’ll send you the link to these exact shades + my full SelectBlinds edit. 🤎
I haven’t properly said hello in a while and with so many new faces here lately, it felt like a good time. Hi! 👋🏼

A lot of you have found me through my kitchen (she does tend to steal the show), and one of the coolest parts of sharing our renovations has been hearing how many of you have used these posts to navigate + complete renovations of your own.

A few things about me: I’ll rearrange a room 10 times until it feels right. I firmly believe every space needs something old. I’m forever chasing that collected, lived-in kind of home that tells my story, not a catalog’s. I love a good outfit almost as much as a good lamp. A “quick house project” is rarely quick in this house. I’ll always say yes to a crisp wine and oysters. And if you ask where something is from, I will absolutely find the link.

Around here you’ll find lots of home: decorating, renovating, styling, sourcing + all the little details in between…with outfits, entertaining, everyday life and whatever I’m currently loving mixed in.

And as always, comment SHOP and I’ll send you the links to shop my entire home, outfits + Amazon storefronts.
The corners I walk past a hundred times a day deserve a little appreciation, too. The afternoon light, something left on the counter, a room looking particularly good for no reason at all. Here’s a reminder that the ordinary parts of home are often the ones we love most.

To shop my entire home, comment SHOP and I’ll send you the links. 🤍
Love when the sun shows off around here ✨ There’s something about the weekend light pouring in that makes every little detail, texture and corner of a room feel that much better.

My favorite whites aren’t really white at all 🤍

They’re a mix of creamy, nuanced shades that shift throughout the day depending on the light, and you kind of have to be okay with that. Sometimes they read a little warmer, sometimes softer, sometimes almost perfectly neutral. That’s the beauty (and fun) of choosing a white with some personality.

If you’re interested in the exact paint colors I used, or want to shop anything in the space, comment SHOP and I’ll send you the details.

My case for warm neutrals:

Neutral gets put in the boring box far too quickly. I’d argue you just need better neutrals.

Warm wood, creamy paint, veined stone, aged brass, woven textures and pieces that feel collected instead of perfectly matched. There may not be a lot of color happening in our kitchen, but there’s plenty of character—and that’s always been the point.

Quiet? Sure. Boring? I’ll respectfully disagree.

A little character goes a long way🤎 This carved walnut mirror has that collected, one-of-a-kind feel I’m always hunting for, and right now it’s 25% off for Labor Day.

Even better? So many of the other pieces you see throughout this space are on sale too, making it a very good weekend to finally pull the trigger on anything you’ve had your eye on.

The best kind of wardrobe math: fewer pieces, way more ways to wear them.

@trovata has been a go-to of mine for years for quality pieces that stick with me season after season. They’re elevated without trying too hard, comfortable enough for real life, and endlessly easy to mix, match and make my own—which is exactly what I want from my closet these days.

4 tops. 2 bottoms. So many ways to wear them now and straight into fall.

Comment SHOP for everything you see here! Down to my new favorite flats that are entirely comfortable.
Window treatments are an investment, which is exactly why I’ll always make the case for a stripe. They have enough pattern to make a room feel considered and interesting, but they’re classic enough that you’re not going to look at them in three years and wonder what you were thinking.

Basically: the safe bet that doesn’t look like the safe bet. If you’ve been waiting to pull the trigger, this is a good time: use code MEG for up to 60% off, one of the highest offers to date.

#Ad These are some of my @wayfair finds I’d buy again, and a few you may want in your home, too.
I’m always looking for those pieces that can shift a room without completely reinventing it, especially heading into a new season. Wayfair Verified has become one of my favorite shortcuts for narrowing down the endless options and shopping with a little more confidence. I can spend less time searching and more time finding the pieces that actually feel right for our home.
These are a few Verified finds already living in mine that I love for an easy fall refresh. Think warm woods, great texture and those little layers that make home feel especially good this time of year.
I’ve linked all of them in my LTK Shop, comment SHOP with a message to your inbox

I wanted the view when you first step inside our home to tell a little bit of our story before we even say hello. From the collected pieces, to the old mixed with new, the rooms that feel lived in, and a home that never feels too precious to actually live in.

More than anything, I wanted it to feel welcoming. Like you can drop your bag, pull up a chair and stay awhile.

If you’re creating a home that feels layered, personal and distinctly yours, follow along. And comment SHOP to shop our home room by room.
We all agreed we weren’t buying more fall decor this year. And then these showed up.

Under $20, a rich dark brown, and a woven texture that makes them look more like something collected over time than something that arrived on your doorstep two days later. They come in two sizes, work indoors or out, and add just enough fall to make the house feel ready for the season without turning it into a pumpkin patch.

Classic, understated, charming, and festive enough to make the whole family happy. That’s my kind of seasonal decorating.

I have a feeling these won’t stick around once everyone gets into fall mode, so consider this your head start. Comment SHOP and I’ll send you the link.

Consider these your throw-on polish for fall. 🤎 The pair you reach for when you want to look pulled together for a workday, dinner, school drop-off—or honestly anywhere that requires real pants without sacrificing comfort.

I’m wearing the brown in a size 4, and the fit is SO good. They hit in all the right places, drape beautifully and somehow feel far more expensive than their under-$40 price tag would suggest.

And the brown? Such a good little shift from my usual neutrals for fall. They come in a bunch of beautiful colors, too, so pick your poison.

My one piece of kitchen decorating advice? Decorate with the things you actually use.

The prettiest kitchens aren’t filled with decor for the sake of decor. They’re filled with beautiful, functional things that earn their spot on the counter: a great wood cutting board, a crock of utensils, a bowl you actually reach for, cookbooks with dog-eared pages, a pretty bottle of olive oil, a lamp that gives you that perfect glow at night.

When you choose quality, functional pieces that are also beautiful, you don’t have to sacrifice precious surface space just to make your kitchen feel decorated. The things you need every day become the decor.

It’s what makes a kitchen feel warm, collected and genuinely lived in…not overly styled or like no one actually cooks there.

It’s Friday at 5, so naturally I’m clocking out of work and clocking into the bar I built in my own house.

It was always in the plans that Friday nights would go from bar hopping in the city to pouring a drink at home in the county. Not only is the commute is significantly better, I’ve curated a space just for us.

Happy hour starts now. Want to make your own? Comment SHOP for everything you see here.
If you’re into homes that feel collected over time, not decorated all at once, you’re in the right place.

I’m always sharing the pieces, vintage finds, little details and layers that have made our house feel like ours, plus plenty of inspiration for creating a home that feels like you.

Your house can be fully furnished and still not feel finished. Usually, it’s not another big purchase that’s missing. It’s the layers…the things that make a room feel collected, personal, and distinctly yours.

A few reasons your home might still feel like it’s missing something:

You’re matching too much. Mix the wood tones. Mix your metals. Let the old table live next to the new chair. A little contrast is what gives a room depth.

Everything is new. A room needs something with a past. Vintage art, an antique side table, an old frame, a piece passed down—anything that makes it feel like your home came together over time rather than all at once.

You’re missing collected objects. The little things you pick up on travels, inherit from family, find at an antique shop, or simply love for no particular reason. Layer them into shelves, tabletops and unexpected corners. Not everything in your home needs to have been purchased specifically for that room.

You’re afraid of family photos. Put them out. Mix them into gallery walls, tuck a small framed photo onto a bookshelf, layer one into a tabletop moment. Your home should have evidence of the people who actually live there.

You’re missing the smaller layers. Books stacked under a lamp. Art leaning behind something else. Textiles, trays, bowls, objects with interesting shapes. These are often what take a room from decorated to lived in.

Everything is the same scale. Rooms need variation—something oversized, something delicate, different heights, shapes and visual weights.

You’re decorating for the photo instead of your life. The most interesting homes give you little clues about the people who live there.

The goal isn’t for everything to perfectly match. It’s for it to feel like it somehow belongs together, and like it could only belong to you.

Fully embracing the Sunday gloom over here as the kind of afternoon made for staying in, getting cozy + slowly putting the house (and ourselves) back together before another full week begins.

A little reset, a little nesting, dinner on the horizon, and nowhere else we need to be. My favorite kind of Sunday, really.

It’s the little things when you’re washing and cutting approximately 100 berries a week.

This chic little berry bowl has been one of those why didn’t I have this sooner kitchen finds, and you guys have sold it out over and over for good reason! I rinse, prep + serve the berries right in it—and bonus, I’ll pop the whole thing straight into the fridge when we’re done. One less container, one less step, and somehow berry duty feels a little more elevated.

Comment SHOP and I’ll send you the link to the bowl + everything else in my kitchen. 🤍
Our working sink was one of the things we built the entire kitchen around. I knew I wanted something that could work hard for us—with multiple components for prepping, washing, drying and everything in between, through every phase of life in this home.

This one checked every box, but what really sold me was the design. It has all the function of a true workstation sink without looking overly utilitarian, with a timeless finish and quality that feels right at home in our kitchen.

One of those decisions I’d make again and again. Comment SHOP and I’ll send you everything you see here.
One of my favorite hours in the kitchen as the sun starting to set, dinner coming together, and getting everything ready for us all to gather around the table. There’s something about this time of day that makes home feel especially good. 🤍

My favorite find is back in stock! These are for anyone chasing the custom look without the custom quote…

These cushions are from Amazon, come in a huge range of sizes and patterns, arrived fast, and fit our kitchen seating perfectly. They instantly made the space feel more tailored while still being practical enough for everyday life. Andddd I just got red wine out of one of them, after spotting it in this video!

The striped chair of my dreams, and officially the piece that made this corner. Oversized in the best way, with plenty of room to curl up solo or cuddle in with my toddler (which is usually how you’ll find us).

And the new side table? The shape, the warm wood, the little bit of character it brings next to the stripe…it just works.

Both from @birchlane, bringing that collected, lived-in feeling I’m always after. Comment SHOP for links to the entire space!

All of my rejuvenation hardware.
I had to have this cheeky brass plaque, but now I can’t decide where it lives. I'd love to find a home near the bar without drilling into cabinets, but I also thought the Dutch door could be fun. However, it just barely fits...the front door feels odd as an exit as its a welcoming piece, and under the dinner bell might be brass overload. So—where would you put it? And ignore the shakes…too many last night!

There’s something about a space that quietly welcomes you in at the start of the day and helps you slow down before the end of it.

Our primary bathroom was designed to feel layered for real life: natural textures, timeless materials, thoughtful storage, and details that make everyday routines feel just a little more special. It’s proof that the most beautiful rooms aren’t just styled, they’re lived in.

If you’ve been asking where everything is from, comment SHOP and I’ll send you all of the sources straight to your inbox!
