A couple days ago I shared a reel where I talked about where I budget things for the house. Yes, I believe in budgeting.🤯 This morning, it occurred to me that the areas I splurge on are the workhorses. What gets used the absolute most and could, potentially, take a beating? I am not a fan of replacing things multiple times… even if it means I could sell it before I replace it. It’s still a loss, the time it takes to list something, manage those horrible FB Marketplace transactions. It’s a nightmare. I will hold out until I have saved for a really well made sectional, or a high-end plumbing fixture. For me, those things aren’t splurges, but areas to invest in, knowing that they’ll last. Kitchen elements that were a splurge (unnecessary & expensive) but also necessary for my design… Black slim tube lights Tile around island Brick tile Waterfall countertops ahem side panels MAYBE the appliances?
