I loved these curtains before, but now they have even more options to fit just about any window! They offer extra wide widths along with four lengths, and lots of good colors. There is a true blackout now too, so you can use them in a bedroom more easily!

This dresser with a swoopy base caught my eye! Would be so pretty in a coastal traditional home.

These counter stools from our old kitchen are still one of my favorite finds. I can’t believe how affordable they are at full price and right now two of the colors are on sale! We were happy with these for 4+ years and would buy them again!

I love a good challenge. 🤓 This bathroom in our new-to-us 1920s home was in dire need of a total renovation. It’s hard to believe this was a Jack and Jill style with two doors entering into a 5‘ x 7.5‘ space! To make it more functional we closed off a door and moved the vanity and shower plumbing to be in line with the toilet so everything was in a nice row. I also wanted to make sure it had lots of personality, so I designed it with a vertical ivory and white striped tile and added a floral block print wallpaper. Needless to say, I am in love with this for both its function and modern cottage style! I am so excited for my daughter to use it for many years to come.

I’m excited to kick off my new series, “Request a Room Design” with this open concept living dining room! I put out a call a couple of weeks ago for room ideas for me to design, and I had a blast pulling this modern cottage space together!

When it comes to designing open concept spaces, there are a couple of important things to keep in mind to make sure your space feels cohesive:
- Carry a consistent metal finish and style throughout your overhead light fixtures.
- Make sure you repeat some elements like wood finish or colors in both spaces.
- Create a layout that’s functional including good walkway space and access to and around seating areas.

This is a mistake I see all the time! 🫣

Hanging art at the right height is one of the easiest ways to give your home a designer’s touch. Just remember a few rules of thumb:

1. If your art hangs alone on a wall (no furniture underneath), hang it so that the center is at high-level. This usually equals about 58 to 60 inches from the floor to the center of your piece.
2. If you’re hanging a group of art like a gallery wall or even just a pair, hang it so that the center of the GROUP is at eye level (58-60” to center).
3. If it’s hanging above a piece of furniture, there’s a little more wiggle room, but you don’t want a ton of space between the top of the piece and your art. A good distance to shoot for is 4 to 8 inches above the top.

I finally picked a wallpaper to finish of my little girl’s bathroom and I cannot wait to get it up on those white walls! It took ordering several samples and noodling over it for a couple of months (wallpaper is an investment!), but I found “the one” - a pink and blue block print floral.
