Searching for the perfect gift for a young kids who loves to create? 🎨 Watercolors are such a fun way to encourage creativity! I loved watercolor painting growing up and learning how to blend colors, create new shades, and use water to completely change the look of a painting. It’s a simple art form with so many possibilities, making it perfect for beginners and little artists who love to experiment. 💕🖌️ Under $30!

From blank wall to dream coffee bar 🤍☕️

I know it’s been a little quiet over here, but so many of you have been asking for kitchen updates, so here’s a peek at our finished space. Our kitchen renovation is officially complete, even though we had a few appliance hiccups along the way. I also ordered two dining tables that both arrived damaged, so I’m pausing the search for now and just enjoying our home as it is.

I’m still looking for the perfect kitchen shelf decor and artwork for the frame, but I couldn’t wait to share this coffee bar styling moment with you ✨

Finally found Christmas ornaments that actually fit my style! I personally love a plain looking tree with just lights and garland, but my kids and husband think otherwise. So to make everyone happy, I settled for these. Beautiful, organic looking, stylish with a touch of a brass finish.

And here we are 💕. The girls have officially settled into their shared bedroom together and they love it. There were tears in the beginning, it was a hard transition. Both girls felt displaced and like we were taking something so valuable from them. But once I pieced together my vision for them and brought it all to life, that all changed. They now find comfort in being together and love their new bedding, sconces and bunk 🩷.

Baby boy nursery transitioned into a big boy bedroom. From the BEST bedding I could find for a boy who will likely hate fixing his own bed, allowing it to be simple , streamlined and quick!

Got our Christmas tree up over the weekend! This tree is so dang beautiful it doesn’t even need ornaments to beautify it even more. It’s flawless the way it is. But for the sake of my husband and kids, we’ll add the ornaments 🤣. No way they’re going to let me get by without putting up any ornaments.

One thing I don’t talk about often is how I used to work at Nordstrom. I worked there about 15 years ago and loved my job so much. My favorite part was putting outfits together for family photos and events for each person in the family. I loved coordinating colors, as well as finding new and styles to complete each look. My page shares mostly home decor styles, but I’ll throw in a mix of outfits as well from time to time.

As I began shopping for my family photos for our fall session next week, I figured why not share?!

Reminiscing on when we put together my daughter’s big girl bedroom. I was 8 months pregnant when we completed it. The petal headboard is absolutely the focal point of the room, tying it all together with other rattan pieces such as her nightstands, wall decor and more.

This bedroom is soon going to be transformed yet, once again pretty soon to make room for the new baby we’ll be welcoming in February. This bedroom will accommodate both of my daughters and will include a bunk bed. Lots of shifts are going to be happening here soon. At the same time, we’ll be transitioning my son out of his crib and into a big boy bed. I’ll share updates as we do them 🫶🏼 follow me on Instagram to see more of this transition! @mydesignhaven
