I’ve tried every toddler book storage idea… but nothing came close to this one. Most setups look cute for a day and then fall apart once you have this many books- especially when you don’t have a dedicated playroom and everything has to function in shared spaces. The biggest issue was that nothing kept books visible or accessible for my toddler. This one is double‑sided, holds way more than the usual options, and can be easily moved around depending on where we’re reading or playing. It’s been the first setup that actually keeps up with our book collection and supports the way toddlers choose books bc if they can’t see them, they won’t reach for them

Part 4 of turning our small entryway into a mini mudroom!

I was tired of backpacks, bags, and coats ending up on the floor in our small entryway or garage so I decided to make better use of the space we already had!

I’ve been wanting a countertop ice maker for SO long but every time I’d find one, I’d read the reviews and talk myself out of it. Either people said it was too loud, hard to clean or just more maintenance than I wanted

But I finally found one that checked all the boxes!!

Our mudroom baskets are finally filled!! I wanted these to hold the things we’re constantly grabbing (or constantly looking for 😅) so getting out the door is hopefully a little easier.

Here’s what I ended up putting in each one:

• Jules’ essentials: wallet, sunglasses, hats (I LOVE having a designated spot for these bc he is constantly leaving them everywhere!!), extra socks + his house slippers

• My toddler’s essentials: shoes bc we’re always looking for them when it’s time to leave, hats + sunblock, diapers + wipes + extra socks

• Towels + blankets: for when he’s playing outside and gets wet, beach/pool days, or when it suddenly gets cold and we need something to grab quickly

• Our dogs’ essentials: leashes, doggy bags, toys + sweaters for when it gets colder

I’m really trying to be more intentional about giving the things we use all the time an actual home instead of just putting them wherever. And having everything we need on our way out right by the door just makes sense!

Now hopefully there’s a lot less “where is ___?!” when we’re trying to leave 🙂

Our mini mudroom is almost complete! 🥳

We turned this small hallway into a functional mini mudroom using bookcases, adding reeded glass, baskets, hooks and swapping out the hardware!

All that’s left is to fill the cabinets/baskets + find a solution for upper extension cabinets.. and then she’s DONE. (I’d also love to add a runner + ceiling lights to this space once the cabinets are complete!)

It’s been so fun watching and putting this space together and it’s kind of hard to believe we’re almost at the finish line

I searched high and low for the perfect woven dining chairs!! I wanted something simple, neutral, and just right for our space without spending a small fortune and I found these on Amazon!

They’ve been out of stock for MONTHS, but they’re finally back in stock!!

And a little mom-approved bonus: my toddler has dropped plenty of food on them, and so far they’ve been relatively easy to clean!

We went with these drill-in baby gates because they feel so sturdy and secure, automatically close behind us, and my favorite part- there’s no bottom bar to trip over

Finding furniture for a smaller bedroom can be tricky, especially when you want it to be both functional and beautiful

We went with this bed frame to keep the room feeling soft and inviting, and instead of traditional nightstands, we used dressers to give us the extra storage we needed. We actually have these same dressers in our primary bedroom and loved them so much we knew we wanted to use them again!

The room still has a ways to go, but I’m loving how it’s starting to come together

We needed more space to fold clothes, more storage for everyday essentials, and a setup that made our laundry room feel a little more functional. This countertop ended up giving us all three, and it’s easily one of the best upgrades we’ve made

And because I know I’ll get questions about it, the weight of the washer and dryer, along with the fact that they’re leveled, keeps the countertop in place, so it doesn’t shake and nothing sitting on top moves around.

Part 5 of our mini mudroom series is here. 🤍

We finally added the champagne bronze hardware, and I can’t believe what a difference such a small detail made.

When we started this project, I wanted to create a mudroom that was both functional and beautiful, without sacrificing precious space in our small entryway. Using IKEA bookcases gave us the storage we needed, and the new hardware instantly elevated the entire look.

There are still a few things left on our to-do list, but we’re getting closer, and it’s so exciting to see everything come together.

Storage is limited in our home, so creating spaces that work hard for our family has become really important to us. This little hallway has already come such a long way.

Our new playmat is so soft and plush and fits right in with our home aesthetic. Part 3 is officially done and I think this was the finishing touch it needed!! The reeded privacy film hides the visual clutter while still letting natural light through, and I love how much more finished the whole space feels

I used the 17.5” × 157.4” roll and it covered all 4 glass doors with some left over

A few things I love about it:
- Gives the look of reeded glass
- Lets in natural light
- Easy removable DIY
- Works on windows, glass cabinets, shower glass, mirrors, and more

Still on the to do list:
- Add hooks for backpacks and bags
- Fill each basket and section so everything has a home
- Find wicker baskets for the top shelves

We really haven’t done much to this bathroom since moving in, but I always knew the first thing I wanted to change was the builder grade mirror

After months of putting it off, we finally swapped it for this organic shaped mirror, and I already love how different this space looks. It was also the most affordable one I could find, which made it an easy choice!

I know the mirror looks a little small right now, but I think once we add a few other things, it’ll all come together! My goal is to make this space warmer and more custom-looking without spending a fortune

I don’t think enough people know these exist… and the should!💡

These rechargeable light bulbs have been one of my favorite home finds. Just charge them on the dock, screw them in like a regular light bulb, and use the remote to turn them on, adjust the brightness, change the bulb color, or change the color temperature

They’re such an easy solution for places where adding lighting isn’t practical, and I love that there’s no wiring or complicated installation
