We made it home safely from our trip to Phoenix and while we were gone, it decided to snow here. There’s still some in the backyard but after not seeing snow for three years, we were all kind of bummed we missed it! My bed… my favorite place in the house! I’ve been working on decluttering my room and closet because I can’t sleep in a messy space and as I get older, I’m noticing I prefer less stuff around me.

I’m going to miss my bed this weekend as we head out for a very short trip to phoenix for my grandpas service. While I have reservations about going due to a few personal reasons, I am very excited that I’ll have my kids and husband for 48 hours. It seems lately, life has been so busy so spending some time together and sharing a few meals with each other will be good for all of us.

Happy Monday! I popped in to the thrift store this weekend just to take a look and I found these pretty vintage tulip peg votive candle holders for my candle sticks! I was so excited as some of you know, since moving here, antiquing and thrifting haven’t been so easy or fun as antiques are hard to come by especially well priced ones so I was overly excited!

Anyone else happy it’s Friday?! Today my oldest baby gets back from her NY trip and I’m so excited to hear all about it. Can I get a do over for this year?! With Dr visits to losing my grandpa, and a few other things,it was quite the week. I’ll need to have a sleep study, hormone test and see a lymph specialist soon. My Botox has been delayed while dealing with the nonsense of a certain specialty pharmacy so I have been in unnecessary pain for almost three weeks now. Let’s hope it’s sorted out like they say s I can get it soon!
Thank you all who have reached out, the support and prayers have been so kind and appreciated.

Between all of this, I have been spending time with my girls and decorating. Cleaning and decorating have always calmed me and help me clear my head. I worked in the living room this weekend so I am sharing part of that with you today. Have a wonderful Monday, friends!

It’s been a difficult start to 2026 with medical issues and the loss of my grandpa. I’m hoping things start looking up from here on out.

It has taken me twice as long to get the house back together after the holidays but I am almost done. The kids are back to school today and I am bummed about it. As much as they drive me crazy sometimes, I rather have them home with me.

I have an appointment with my MS doc today and I have some new symptoms to go over and talk about. I’ve been In perimenopause for the last few months and I feel like my health overall has declined a bit. Hoping she has some insight or helpful tips to get me through this horrendous season of life! Wish me luck!

The entryway has been deep cleaned and decorated for the time being. With the very mild winters we have, it just seems wrong to me to keep winter decor out after Christmas. The hearts in the bowl, I made from curtain samples for Valentine’s Day and the brown hearts I had hanging on my Christmas tree. I just love when decor can be used for more than one season. Amelia is 10 today!! What a bittersweet time it is, seeing my youngest grow up so fast. She hasn’t shown her face as much here lately, as she’s been busy living her best life!

Without a mantle this year, I had to get creative with our stockings! I had a vision for what I wanted and shared that with my husband. Twenty minutes later he came back with a branch and I got to work!
I wrapped twine around one end of the stick secured it with hot glue and left enough twine so I could hang it, I added the stockings and then secured the other end with twine, I hung it on the wall, added ribbon to hide the twine and then decorated it with garland and bells. I really love how it turned out!

I have always loved winter and when it gets dark early. It has always been a time that I felt happy and comfortable, even when I was little. The only light would be the glow from the Christmas tree and the tv as my sister and I watched Christmas movies. I love that I get to do that with my kids now. It’s such a cozy time of year.

Our outdoor space just got a lot warmer and cozier with this beautiful gas fire pit set from @upha.patio

Sweet old Mabel napped on the couch while I decorated this side of the room on Friday. I finished decorating this weekend but I’m sure I’ll move things around here and there. I took it back to my elementary years and wrapped my decor books in wrapping paper to look like gifts! Everything else in the space I already had on hand except for the gold and white candles.
