You taught me how to blow bubbles with my bubble gum. You taught me how to make breakfast. You taught me how to drive. You taught me to “test”the candy at the grocery store before filling my bag. You taught me the importance of taking care of my feet. You taught me how to do yard work. You taught me to always be kind but take sh*t from no one. You taught me to never lie, it only gets you in more trouble. I miss your jokes and your humor. You were so fun and so funny. I miss your smile, I can still hear your laugh. I miss going to the movies and eating ice cream with you. I miss being a little kid because of you. You showed me what unconditional love is and I never had to question your love for me. You showed me kindness and what family really is and what it meant to you. You were my favorite person. Rest easy, Papa. I know you’re in a much happier place now. It’s been a difficult start to 2026 with medical issues and the loss of my grandpa. I’m hoping things start looking up from here on out. I went for a simple look in the dining room with Valentine’s Day in mind because when you’re here, I want things to be simple, easy, peaceful and beautiful.
