It’s been a minute since I shared an update on what we having going on at the cabin. As you know if you’ve been around awhile, my kids all share one bedroom. We love our cabin and have done so well adapting to the space we have (even as our family has continued to grow), but we are so ready for this next step. Right now we have one main bedroom and a secondary “bedroom” or play space connected by this catwalk. Filling in the space beside the catwalk to create more floor space is the first step to creating another bedroom up here. Once the floors are in, we will be putting on dormers along the front to gain straight walls as opposed to the A-frame we have had until now. This change is only going to get us about 150-ish square feet, but my goodness is it worth it! So many more options for storage, organization, and just space to LIVE! Every detail is planned with purpose to make the space work for our family... not just today, but years from now. It is not fast, and it is not always pretty in progress, but it is ours.
