Wore this look for my headshots, and to be honest—it was just outside my comfort zone. Not because of the outfit itself (I love a blazer moment), but because I’m a year postpartum after having three kids, and I’m still figuring out how to feel at home in my body again.

But I showed up anyway. I chose to wear something that reflects the version of myself I’m growing into—even if I’m not totally comfortable in my skin right now.

I’m 5’2”, 185 lbs, usually a size 12/14. These jeans are a 14 from American Eagle (could’ve done a 12, but I like the looser fit). Blazer + bandeau are from Amazon, and the nails are Etsy finds I’m obsessed with.

Here’s to getting dressed for the life you want, not just the body you have today.

Easy work-from-home outfit of the day

Comfortable, casual, and still makes me feel like me.

This “Small Business Mama” tee has quickly become one of my favorites—it’s more than just a shirt. It reminds me I’m not alone in this wild ride of motherhood + entrepreneurship. There’s a whole community of mamas out there doing the same.

Paired it with these breathable linen shorts and cozy slippers for the perfect get-stuff-done-from-home look.

I also rolled on Nest’s Indian Jasmine, which I’ve been loving for spring and summer—light, fresh, and just the right amount of floral.

Trying on two pairs of American Eagle jeans so you don’t have to.
First up: the barrel jeans (size 12). These ran big on me—super roomy in the thighs and just overpowered my petite frame. I have a strong hourglass shape, and these had major waist gapping… so they’re going back.
Second pair: Curvy Stovepipe jeans (light wash, size 14). These were a win! No waist gap, comfortable through the waist and hips, and I love the straight-leg cut. I could size down, but they’d likely be too tight on my stomach when sitting—so I’m sticking with the 14.

For reference: I’m 5’2”, weigh 185 lbs, and have a muscular hourglass build. I’m also one year postpartum with baby #3, so comfort and fit matter more than ever right now.

Both pairs are linked here on LTK if you’re also on the hunt for jeans that actually fit a curvy body.

Small Bathroom Makeover in a Quirky Old Home

This bathroom used to be part of an awkward pantry—and now it’s one of the most functional (and charming) rooms in the house.

We kept the design simple and timeless, with a vintage-inspired sink, classic black sconces, and open shelving made from butcher block—one of our favorite ways to bring warmth and texture into a space.

It’s proof that even the most awkward corners of an old home can be reimagined with the right mix of creativity and function.

One year later and I’m still obsessed with this powder room makeover. We kept the layout simple but added bold style with a geometric floor tile, open console sink, and one of my favorite moody greens: Benjamin Moore Ashwood Moss on the accent wall.

I’ve linked the exact arched mirror and wall sconces, plus a similar console sink to help you recreate this look in your own home.

Bathroom mood: haunted but make it humorous.
This art might be my favorite thing in the whole bathroom—it makes me laugh every single time I walk in here. The soft towel, the brass + marble hooks, the warm wood walls… all great. But this print? She’s the star.

Everything you see here is linked—because yes, your bathroom can be spooky and stylish.

A peek into one of our recent kitchen remodels—classic details with modern functionality.
We always include a drawer microwave in our kitchen projects, and this one from Café by GE is a favorite. It keeps the counters clear and is surprisingly easy for little hands to use.

The apron front sink and cabinet pulls are both from Rejuvenation, and I’m linking the exact polished brass faucet we used from Perigold. Timeless pieces that elevate the everyday.

Balance isn’t just for design. It’s for life.

It might not feel like the most important thing, but you’ll always notice when things are out of balance. Too many heavy fixtures or design elements can weigh a space down just like too many light and free elements can make the vision for the space just… float away.

The same goes for life. I am always trying to keep things in balance when it comes to our businesses, my three children, my husband, and myself. Of course it’s impossible to get it right 100% of the time, but I find that bringing an awareness to it at least gets me closer.

Finding the time to pour energy into each of these parts of my world is what fulfills me. And the constant desire to try to find balance keeps me motivated even on the hard days.

“Why does this kitchen remodel cost more per square foot than our NYC apartment?”

That’s what one client told me a few years ago—and honestly, I didn’t know how to explain it at the time.
Now? I do.

When you’re remodeling a kitchen or bathroom, you’re not just paying for square footage. You’re investing in systems, materials, craftsmanship, layout changes, and solutions that make your space actually work.

I’ve put together two resources to help you plan smarter and feel more confident about the renovation process:

→ A real breakdown of what drives renovation pricing, especially in kitchens and baths.
