PEGGY'S PICKS OF THE WEEK // Decorating a Playroom, Kids' Room, or Nursery is so fun! These are some of Peggy's favorite spaces to design. There is infinite freedom to play with color and patterns!
This week's Peggy's Picks of the Week was inspired by Peggy's daughters' mirrored rooms from the Haddad Treehouse! We wanted to share her favorite items for balancing a calm environment, modern design, and youthfulness, whimsy, and color. We are sharing some great finds that include furniture, such as cribs and dressers, as well as décor, art, and bedding.

PEGGY'S PICKS OF THE WEEK // After purchasing all the large furniture pieces for a room, it will still feel devoid of personality - this is where styling and décor come into play! This step of the process is called 'layering', and it is vital to both overall cohesion of the space and that sought after 'home' feeling!

Perhaps one of the most fun aspects of designing your space, have fun sourcing throw pillows, art, lighting, or plants (to name a few). The most important part: purchase items that speak to your personality and what you want to see each day! This is the perfect opportunity to add color, pattern, texture, and make your home your haven!

PEGGY'S PICKS OF THE WEEK// This week's picks shed light on a crucial part of making a house feel like home - table lamps! The use of lighting fixtures is so important in layering your design. Swipe -> to see a handful of our favorites, including a few from #projectcalicontemporary and #projectgrandmillennial.

Peggy's Tip: "Buy smart light bulbs and set your lamps on a timer! It is so nice to have them automatically turn on at dusk and off around bedtime. We usually don't have much, if any, overhead lighting at night!"

Last but not least, we have all the heart eyes for the original artwork in the Project Cali Contemporary dining room featured here. It was painted specifically for this space by the incredibly talented, @kellikroneberger!

PEGGY'S PICKS OF THE WEEK // For two different client projects, we sourced the same white stone dining table for the kitchens' eat-in dining designs, both with similar style combinations! We love the versatility of this table, it is so classic and neutral.

These two kitchens, and the shared dining table, are what inspired this week's Peggy's Picks. The selections were chosen entirely because they pair well with this classic dining table and give a Transitional + Glam vibe.

Since these kitchens were designed a few years ago, several of the items are no longer available. However, not to fear, we loved sourcing new and exciting items to give you a Transitional and Glam look (two complete looks actually!)…from durable rugs, to counter and dining seating options, to statement lighting. The kitchen is the heart of the home, which is why designing this area of the home is perhaps one of our favorites!
