Teasing 101 ✨ Fine-Hair Volume Tutorial

If your hair falls flat after teasing, the technique matters.

For this look, I used:

* A rat-tail comb for controlled teasing
* Color Wow Texas Hold’Em hairspray to lock in the tease
* A little time to let it set
* More hairspray to finish and hold everything in place

The key is controlled teasing instead of randomly backcombing the hair, then smoothing the surface once the volume is set.

Fine hair girls: DON’T WASH IT. REVIVE IT. 🤍

When my fine, oily hair starts looking flat, I’d rather bring it back to life than wash and restyle it all over again.

My routine:

🤍 K18 Dry Shampoo — start at the roots to absorb oil
🤍 Color Wow Texture Spray — adds grip and texture
🤍 Color Wow Texas Hold’em Hairspray — helps everything hold
🤍 Dyson + round brush attachment — blow it back into shape
🤍 Drybar Velcro Rollers — set the volume and let them cool

The key for me is product first, rollers second. That gives my fine hair something to hold onto instead of just hoping the rollers create volume on their own.

If your face-framing pieces never seem to fall quite right, this simple curling technique makes all the difference. I use a small curling iron, set each curl with clips while it cools, then finish with a lightweight texture spray for soft movement and lasting volume.
