Let’s talk COMPLETER PIECES! . Last week in my “Shop With Intention” post (scroll back in the feed to find it) I said one of my requirements when shopping for tops is that I could pair it with several different completer pieces. Several people asked what completer pieces were, so let’s talk! . Completer pieces are things like cardigans, blazers, vests, and fitted jackets like denim or utility or moto jackets. Throwing on one of these completes your outfit in magical ways. . And they provide several benefits: 1. Defining your outfit. Take a take a tee + jeans from casual to dressy by switching completer pieces. 2. Mixing up your outfits and helping you create several different looks with the same pieces. 3. Pulling together your outfit magically! 4. Giving you an extra layer to stay a little warmer. So practical. 😄 . Yes, it is possible to pull together looks without completer pieces. But during the spring when a light layer is welcome, these are fantastic ways to remix your wardrobe and pull together looks! . Shown are some of my favorite types of completer pieces. This has been my short list of favorites for years: a denim jacket, cognac moto jacket, grey knit blazer (knit is better for casual style—super comfy like a sweatshirt), mustard cardigan, navy twill blazer, and utility jacket and utility vest.
