Anna Maria Island was packed, so we decided to check out Longboat Key’s beach for the first time and quickly realized we found a hidden gem. From playing mermaids, building sand castles, chasing birds (Bill, of course 😂), and making new hermit crab friends, it was the kind of day that made the best memories.

We ended the day with dinner right on the beach at one of our favorite local spots, @thebeachhouseami , and were so excited to still catch fireworks despite the nearby sea turtle nests! (Whoopsie!) ✨

And I swear, the wrong pajamas can make bedtime so much harder. If it’s itchy, tight, or sticks when she gets warm, we’re both up.
