Our dining room after we installed Mohawk Earthen Chestnut floors, (not found a big box stores). We love it! And a year later not a scratch to be found.

The table was purchased for $60 and was refinished by me, sanded with Danish Oil and lots of layers of topcoat. A big job but so worth it

A mix of old and new: sharing a glimpse of our recent #bedroom upgrades. 🎉 We enjoyed white glove delivery of our new bed from @BirchLane @Wayfair. And it fits perfectly around our Casper adjustable mattress. I’m so glad we bought a bed with a headboard and footboard. Our duvet finally stays in place and isn’t kicked off at night 😚

We painted one wall Magnolia Pond Stone and now we want the entire room dark. More to come on that!

Mirrors and nightstands are thrifted and repainted. The nightstands were given two coats of Heirloom Traditions Paint in Iron Gate. And we added glass tops to fancy them up. The lamps are from PB but discontinued so I linked similar lamps below.

My feed needed some color so what better way to brighten things up than to share a cake 🎂

This was my first attempt at #italianmeringuebuttercream using my new @kitchenaidusa stand mixer and overall I’d give myself a C- because I couldn’t get the texture right. This style of buttercream is so different than #americanbuttercream! Luckily I salvaged this batch enough create a cute birthday cake for my daughter. I’d call it a #nakedcake but a bit more “rustic” 🥳. Her birthday was yesterday. Her college roommates will threw her a big dorm party last night and when I delivered my cake was impressed with how they decorated to celebrate her day. Everything was adorable. 🎊

Today we celebrate with my granddaughter who turned 1 yesterday. I can’t wait for her first cake smash.

As a little girl, crafting with my grandma was always a big part of the holiday season. This little #Christmasvillage is so much fun to make. You can find the patterns at @3dcutspaper — I cut mine on my @officialcricut Explore Air 2.

I added miniature pipe cleaner trees to place around the village for a cute display. Grandma would have been amazed at this project and for some reason I think of her every time I make a new village.

Cricut is having a big sale so if you’re not sure what machine to buy, my advice is if you want to cut balsa wood, upgrade to a Cricut Maker. I have an Explore Air machine and that’s the only thing I really can’t do. I added a Cricut EasyPress so I could make Tshirts and iron ons as well.

End of summer for me means no more white couches in the family room, so I swapped them out for a tan linen. I'm testing out my new large-scale art (in the background) -- another DIY art project for only $30!
