✨P O L E V A U L T E R✨ Sometimes it’s hard to know what to call all these one-piece clothes... jumpsuit, tracksuit, romper? According to the product description, this is a tracksuit, but let me tell you, this looks nothing like any tracksuit I wore 25 years ago! 😂 ———————- ✨FUN FACT✨about me: I was a pole vaulter in Montana the first year they allowed girls to participate in that sport in high school. It’s one of the most fun things I’ve ever done, and I wound up placing fourth at State my junior year! 🏅 ———————- I was set to do even better my senior year, but I was kicked off the team. I know you’re probably thinking I was drinking at a party or something, but no, it’s far more embarrassing than that. We had a men’s and women’s bus to and from our track meets, and the guys always used to give us a full moon on the way home. So one time, the girls followed suit and got caught.😬 The principal told me I could take a three day suspension from school and get zeros on my work for those days, or I would be removed from the team. I thought it was a double standard that the men always got to do the full moon and everybody looked the other way, but that when the women did it, we faced consequences. (Let me be clear that nobody should have been doing that. 😂) I thought I was making some statement about gender equality by choosing to get kicked off the team. I’m not sure that message really came through, though. 🤣 ———————- I can’t believe I shared this story with you guys, 🤦🏻‍♀️but it’s a little window into how my mind works.
