Too busy to decorate for Halloween? Maybe not…

When it comes to Halloween decor, a little effort truly goes a long way.

Typically, I simply layer a few Halloween inspired details on top of my everyday decor and it usually is just enough to make an impact without having to store or buy a lot of of seasonal accents.

A few examples from this video include:
💀 Leaning a skeleton cheeseboard against cutting boards in the kitchen
🎃 Swapping a planter basket for a jack-o’-lantern bucket
🕯️Dropping a fall candle inside a skull lantern

Similar to a low bench or small loveseat, a settee is a versatile piece of furniture that you should definitely consider as you build your home furnishing collection.

A settee is great for a narrow hallway, entryway seating, extra seating in a living room or even a dining bench!

I selected this piece for our master bedroom- it’s the perfect size for the foot of a king bed! It comes in tons of fabrics. I chose my favorite chenille slate!

Making a simple roasted red sauce is my favorite easy Sunday routine.

Grab a panful of ripe tomatoes from your garden or the market, toss with herbs, olive oil, garlic and seasonings far and roast for about 30 minutes at 424. Blend when cooled and add a little bit of Parmesan and cream if you like!

I really love this roasting pan and silicon mat for easy cleanup.

White chairs are good in theory, not always so great in reality. However, I was pleasantly surprised with this swivel glider option. It's a good price point for such a substantial chair but the best part is that the slipcover is removable so I can soak it in stain solution and get it back to white every so often.

This exact model isn't avaiblable anymore but there's a very similar option that has good reviews and is on sale right now!

STYLING TIP: Use a barstool as a side table to repurpose them in a unique way!

Whenever you're styling your kitchen counters and shelves, there are certain types of objects that ALWAYS work well.

Here are my picks with an autumnal twist- the perfect small accents to add fall decor to your kitchen. Add these now and they should last you all the way through the season.

•Pumpkin cast iron pot - set this out on the stove, even if you don't cook with it! I linked a few options but the one shown is a GREAT value.
•Choose one luxe candle - this one is in a non-pumpkin scent, if you're looking for something a little different.
•If you have a blank wall and need a little extra storage, hang this rattan accordion rack and use it to display dried herbs, a pretty apron, or anything that hangs.
•Brown wine glasses have a distinctly vintage feel and they're perfect for displaying on an open shelf and setting the scene for a Fall dinner party or Thanksgiving gathering.
•You can never have enough cake stands. They serve as risers to bring height to your arrangements and work expecially welI in corners. Love the warm marble.

Thinking about adding some fall decor to your kitchen? Here are some subtle, seasonal accents that will add coziness and warmth without going overboard.

• Bring in a warm colored dish towel or two and hang on your stove handle, a hook or your oven.
•This uner $20 wood bowl is a great price and would look so cute filled with fresh apples or white mini-pumpkins.
•You can never have enough cutting boards and this one has a pretty scalloped edge (hurry, stock is low).
•These white yarrow faux stems look so realistic and I love the color- pop a few in the textured vase and tuck it in a corner.

Fall is a great time to do some outdoor entertaining - don't give up the S'mores just yet!

I love the ease of a propane or gas fireplace, but I have opted for one with real wood in our backyard. I just love the sound of crackling flames and the smell of smoke in the air - you can't beat the ambience.

Here are my top 6 tips for styling shelves in your home:

•Start with the largest items first and then spread them out evenly throughout the shelf (or group of shelves).
•Make sure to mix heights (tall and short items) as well as finishes (smooth, rough, shiny, matte) when choosing items to display.
•Layer items as you go - push some items toward the back of the shelves and tuck smaller items closer to the front.
•Create GROUPS of objects that go together - thinka cluster candlesticks or a stack of books.
• Follow the rule of 3 (or 5) - when creating groups try to use an odd number of objects.
•Make sure to step back and assess the composition as you go. Does it seem balanced? Does anything feel empty or too crowded? Keep adjusting until it feels right.

Don’t like knick knacks? You aren’t alone! A lot of clients hesitate to “style” their counters because they don’t want them to feel cluttered. I totally get it! The key here is to buy the prettiest possible version of the things you actually use (cooking utensils, a favorite cookbook) and let them be the decor.

Oh, and a plant 🌱 never hurts either! This one is a really good faux fern for my black thumbed friends.

In a few weeks I'll be adding a hot cocoa and coffee bar to my Fall kitchen decor, so right now I'm in the process of getting the supplies I need.

I do a mix of hot cocoa pods (for the kids) and syrups for myself.

Other must haves include:
