Looking to give your daily routines a 🌟glow up 🌟 in 2026? Me too!

After discussing a client’s vanity needs for a project, I realized that I hadn’t had a proper vanity since I lived in my parents’ house!

Combining a gorgeous Pottery Barn writing desk, an old gold mirror and a spare cube (the most versatile furnishing piece ever) with a few vanity organizers from Target gave me a dedicated dressing table in my bedroom and it has totally upgraded the way I experience doing my hair and makeup.

If you’re still standing up to get ready, I definitely recommend looking for some pieces you can repurpose in your home to give this styling combo a try.

It feels luxurious, put together, and is exactly the kind of romanticized daily space I’m showing up for this year.

Next I’ll work on making my bed.

Soften your dining room table with a classic, natural fiber tablecloth like this gorgeous linen version.

There are LOTS of options for rectangle tables, sadly not as many for large round tables (mine is 60”). If you have a large round tables, consider an XL SQUARE and let it drape for a perfectly imperfect January kitchen update.

A few wellness inspired things that got me through the first full week of post-holiday reset:

1.) Home cooked recipes from my favorite cookbooks
2.) Home gym reset including FINALLY getting an affordable weight rack for our dumbbells and delivery of our Peloton Tread+ (LOVING it!).
3.) Developing more intentional mealtime rituals with a pretty linen tablecloth, fresh 🍋 for my hot water habit, and new restaurant-style entree plates that make my meals feel fancier. Oh, and my rice cooker- it makes the PERFECT steel cut oatmeal. Yum!

Too busy to decorate for Halloween? Maybe not…

When it comes to Halloween decor, a little effort truly goes a long way.

Typically, I simply layer a few Halloween inspired details on top of my everyday decor and it usually is just enough to make an impact without having to store or buy a lot of of seasonal accents.

A few examples from this video include:

Similar to a low bench or small loveseat, a settee is a versatile piece of furniture that you should definitely consider as you build your home furnishing collection.

A settee is great for a narrow hallway, entryway seating, extra seating in a living room or even a dining bench!

I selected this piece for our master bedroom- it’s the perfect size for the foot of a king bed! It comes in tons of fabrics. I chose my favorite chenille slate!

Making a simple roasted red sauce is my favorite easy Sunday routine.

Grab a panful of ripe tomatoes from your garden or the market, toss with herbs, olive oil, garlic and seasonings far and roast for about 30 minutes at 424. Blend when cooled and add a little bit of Parmesan and cream if you like!

I really love this roasting pan and silicon mat for easy cleanup.

White chairs are good in theory, not always so great in reality. However, I was pleasantly surprised with this swivel glider option. It's a good price point for such a substantial chair but the best part is that the slipcover is removable so I can soak it in stain solution and get it back to white every so often.

This exact model isn't avaiblable anymore but there's a very similar option that has good reviews and is on sale right now!

STYLING TIP: Use a barstool as a side table to repurpose them in a unique way!

Whenever you're styling your kitchen counters and shelves, there are certain types of objects that ALWAYS work well.

Here are my picks with an autumnal twist- the perfect small accents to add fall decor to your kitchen. Add these now and they should last you all the way through the season.

•Pumpkin cast iron pot - set this out on the stove, even if you don't cook with it! I linked a few options but the one shown is a GREAT value.
•Choose one luxe candle - this one is in a non-pumpkin scent, if you're looking for something a little different.
•If you have a blank wall and need a little extra storage, hang this rattan accordion rack and use it to display dried herbs, a pretty apron, or anything that hangs.

• Bring in a warm colored dish towel or two and hang on your stove handle, a hook or your oven.

Fall is a great time to do some outdoor entertaining - don't give up the S'mores just yet!

I love the ease of a propane or gas fireplace, but I have opted for one with real wood in our backyard. I just love the sound of crackling flames and the smell of smoke in the air - you can't beat the ambience.
