Last year I spent way too much on Black Friday, buying into the hype that I needed “more”. This year I haven’t spent a dime. I’m learning the true meaning of being content. Having a hard time believing it is Thanksgiving Week. We've been having car troubles this week, which can feel like the end of the world! But then I think of all those people in Texas who have lost everything, or who are in fear of losing everything, or definitely puts it into perspective. This faux leather skirt gives me all the heart eyes! It is definitely a dressier piece, but I say there's nothing wrong with that! Just because I'm a mom doesn't mean I can't rock an outfit like this, and the same goes for you! I dressed it down a bit by pairing it with a t shirt and simple ankle boots.

Ankle booties are my absolute favorite thing to wear! They are a super good shoe option for mom life. Comfortable yet chic. They add a fun detail to your look, and can easily dress it up or keep it casual. So of course I had to include it in my #tbl_stylechallenge. As mom's it's easy for us to get stuck in a denim and sneakers rut! And why not? It's the most practical look when you're busy being a mom. But, today I wanted to challenge you guys to step out of that. To maybe get a little dressier, or just something different! // Today was CRAZY and the first day of the #tbl_stylechallenge that I didn't get a picture of my actual outfit 😭 but I promise I participated 😘 I wore a burgundy button dress with an olive cargo vest and new favorite heeled sandals from @current_boutique. Buuut we got home from church and then my husband left to hang with some friends and I had to change and rush off because I successfully threw him a surprise party for his birthday! Whoop whoop! #tbl_stylechallenge day 11 is 'Get out of your zone'. You may or may not know that every month I write a Fearless Friday post where I Style a piece that I've been afraid to try! I wanted you guys to do the same and coordinated the style challenge day to go along with my post for the month. My piece for this month was a denim pinafore (overall dress). You can read my thoughts on the trend tomorrow morning, but we were so enamored with our ice cream we didn't get too many outfit shots! Oops! But, I'm definitely stepping out of my zone by sharing this pic!
