Last year I spent way too much on Black Friday, buying into the hype that I needed “more”. This year I haven’t spent a dime. I’m learning the true meaning of being content. This faux leather skirt gives me all the heart eyes! It is definitely a dressier piece, but I say there's nothing wrong with that! Just because I'm a mom doesn't mean I can't rock an outfit like this, and the same goes for you! I dressed it down a bit by pairing it with a t shirt and simple ankle boots.

Ankle booties are my absolute favorite thing to wear! They are a super good shoe option for mom life. Comfortable yet chic. As mom's it's easy for us to get stuck in a denim and sneakers rut! And why not? It's the most practical look when you're busy being a mom. But, today I wanted to challenge you guys to step out of that. #tbl_stylechallenge day 11 is 'Get out of your zone'. You may or may not know that every month I write a Fearless Friday post where I Style a piece that I've been afraid to try! I wanted you guys to do the same and coordinated the style challenge day to go along with my post for the month. My piece for this month was a denim pinafore (overall dress). You can read my thoughts on the trend tomorrow morning, but we were so enamored with our ice cream we didn't get too many outfit shots! Oops!
