Dinner in London in an outfit I haven’t worn since 2016 … guest feature - the children. When doing the 2016 challenge I came across an outfit I used to love but stopped wearing and decided to see if I still had all the pieces to recreate it, I did! The trousers are very much party at the front, serious at the back, and I love the movement when I walk or dance. A bit 70s almost. We took the kids with us to @hawksmoorrestaurants in London to celebrate our friend @djay13_ birthday, he and @katie_d_33 travelled all the way from Scotland for the occasion. We “restaurant train” our kids on a regular basis. Yes,it was more inconvenient to bring them in the beginning, but it pays off as they are so very happy and easy going now. The biggest reason we do this is to make sure they feel at home and comfortable in every room when they grow up. We always make them order for themselves, ask for the bill and to be friendly and polite with both other guests and the servers. They also get to sniff our wines and try to figure out what smells they can pick out. I see it as a great way to educate them in wine before they are old enough to drink, and also explain alcohol culture in a social and measured way to hopefully keep them from binge drinking in their teens. It’s what my parents did with us and it worked for all 5 of us sisters so far! What do you think, is the 2016 outfit a smash or should I leave it in the past? 🤍You can find the items I’m wearing in my link in bio, or just comment “link” and I will DM the links to you 🤍 …and if you are ready to start your own wardrobe journey, I suggest you begin with the 7 day wardrobe reset.
