What was your last book of 2024 and what’s your first for 2025 (or are they the same book)? 📖
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I ended the year with Set the Record Straight on audio (SO CUTE) and I’m ringing in the new year with The Wild Huntress as a buddy-read and listening to The Love of My Afterlife. 🙌🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve got some fun reading goals for myself this year (like lots of rereads and buddy-reads) and I’m hoping to fully dive back into creating content and being active on here again. 🥹 I miss y’all!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What are your 2025 reading goals (if you have any)? 🤎

Which decor retailer have you shopped with the longest? ☕️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As my style has evolved and matured over the years, @desenio has always been there with the perfect art prints and posters to suit my home. 🤎
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have had the privilege of working with them 5x over the years and I never cease to be amazed at the quality of their art prints and how perfectly they elevate any room in my home. It really is incredible how sometimes all you need to do is change out the posters featured in a gallery wall for a space to transform like magic! 🪄
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Use the code ESPRESSOEDITION for 55% off prints (personalized excluded), 20% off canvases, and 10% off frames at Desenio until November 30th! 🙌🏼

Do you have gallery walls in any of the rooms in your home? 🏠

What are some cozy elements you're adding to your home for the autumn and winter seasons? ☕️

Sometimes it's the smallest details that make the biggest difference! I recently began a transformation in my living room and when I spotted the floor cushion, jute basket, and stoneware vase from @made.trade, I knew they would elevate the space so perfectly. 😍

You can see how these 3 items added so much to this cozy reading corner and made the area totally perfect for my vibe! 🙌🏼

Do you prefer to savor one book for an extended period of time, or do you tend to fly through your reads pretty quickly? 💨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Normally, I would say that I fly through books—inhaling them more than savoring them 😅 But lately, I’ve been spending more time with my stories and really diving into them, getting to know the characters and the world even better! 🙌🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There’s something nice about slowing down and reading little bits at a time, sometimes even discussing them with a friend, reading more, theorizing about the plot, then reading a little more, etc. 🤎 It feels good to appreciate the book rather than gobbling it up (though who knows how long this “savor it” mindset will last 😆)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you tend to fly through your reads, what’s the last book that made you WANT to take your time with it and savor each moment? 📖

Are there any books written before 2010 that you either already love or want to prioritize reading? 🕰️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I somehow missed the Eragon craze as a kid, but when I picked it up earlier this year, I was captivated! 🐉
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As soon as I finished it, I shoved my copy into the hands of my 16-year-old nephew (who is an aspiring fantasy author) and went, “YOU HAVE TO READ THIS!” 😂 Spoiler alert: he loved it and flew through the entire rest of the series in the span of a couple weeks 🙌🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have a handful of books on my TBR that were published prior to 2010 that I can’t wait to read 📖
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have you read Eragon yet? ⚔️

What is the setting of your current read and would you like to go there? ✈️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I finished listening to Apprentice to the Villain today and I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t want to visit their world unless I somehow *also* became an assistant or apprentice to the Villain and he liked me enough to NOT unalive me 🙈
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
However, I’m also reading The Honey Witch, and I definitely want to check out the cottage at Innisfree (despite not actually loving the book 🤷🏻‍♀️)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Are either of these books ones that you’ve read or do you plan to pick them up? 📖

Something I haven’t asked in a while: which genre do you read most often? 📖
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Until somewhat recently, I would’ve answered FANTASY without any hesitation ⚔️ However, in the last couple of years, I’ve reached for more romances than anything else 🤎
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m not sure if this is because I’m enjoying newer romances more than newer fantasy or if my tastes are just changing entirely or what 😅 While I do still love my vampires and werewolves now and again, I definitely tend to get more excited about a cute HEA nowadays 🤷🏻‍♀️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Convince me to read your last 5-star fantasy! ✨ I need inspiration (bonus points if it is NOT enemies-to-lovers) 😉

If you receive ARCs, what’s one that you read and immediately had to purchase upon release? 👀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For me, it was Five Broken Blades, which completely blew me away! 😱 It hooked me from the very beginning of the story and kept my interest all the way to the end… and I can’t WAIT for the next book in the series! ⏳
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is also the first book I’ve ever owned with sprayed edges and they sure are gorgeous 😍 Sometimes I take this one off my shelf just to look at how stunning it is ✨

What were your favorite Pride Month reads? 🏳️‍🌈
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Okay, it’s no secret that I read queer all year, but last month I focused on reading a bunch of books that amplify queer voices and definitely found some new favorites 🙌🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My top LGBTQIA+ picks for June were…
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌸 Late Bloomer by Mazey Eddings
✈️ The Guncle Abroad by Steven Rowley
🚗 Here We Go Again by Alison Cochrun
🫖 Can’t Spell Treason Without Tea
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have you read any of these or are any of them on your TBR for the rest of 2024? 📚

#LTKFindsUnder50 #LTKHome
How do you organize your bookshelves? 📚
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When I first started my bookstagram, I owned maybe 20 books total and they were all from my childhood and teen years 🙈 Since I’m someone who has always used the library rather than purchasing books, I just didn’t have a lot of books in my possession 🤷🏻‍♀️ As I’m sure you can guess, that has changed a lot over the last 4 years 😂
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now I have 3 bookshelves full of my favorite stories (since I still only buy them after I’ve read them and loved them enough to read again in the future) and there are books in other random places in my home that have been sent from publishers or gifted by authors 😍 I organize them ALL by color 🌈
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
While my home is a pretty neutral space, I love seeing my rainbow shelves and even though it can be a challenging method of book organization, it just makes me so dang happy! 😊️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Where do you primarily store your books? 📖

#LTKHome #LTKFindsUnder50
What’s does your Emily Henry book ranking look like? 📚
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Emily is the actual queen of romcoms and her books never ever let me down! 😍 I’ve read them all in pub order as they’ve come out and even been lucky enough to receive a few of them as ARCs 🙌🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here’s how I rank them:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🏖️ People We Meet on Vacation
🍷 Funny Story
🌊 Beach Read
☀️ Happy Place
📖 Book Lovers
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve read all of them except Book Lovers more than once, and while I thought Funny Story was going to take first place after my initial read, my reread confirmed that PWMOV is still number one in my heart (though *very* closely followed by FS)! 🫶🏼 They’re just all magnificent books ✨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now tell me, is your EmHen book bf from your fave EmHen book? 😝

#LTKFindsUnder50 #LTKHome
What’s one book you’d recommend to someone just diving into fiction for the first time? 📖
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve asked this in the past, but I’m curious how the answers might change since so many books have come out in the last several years that I think would fit this perfectly 👌🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I don’t have many IRL friends who enjoy reading, but I have been lucky enough to recommend books to fiction newbies in the past and I usually start with The Midnight Library! 📚 I think it’s a book everyone should read (but that’s because it saved my life, so it’s very special to me) and I especially recommend it during May, Mental Health Awareness Month! 💚
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have you read The Midnight Library yet? ☕️

#LTKHome #LTKFindsUnder50
Put the last playlist/album you were listening to on shuffle, and for the first song that plays, tell me a book you’ve read that fits the song! 🎶
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The first song that played for me was My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys 🎧 Anyone else listening to The Tortured Poets Department on repeat? 🔁
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The book that immediately came into my head that fits this song is Where the Dark Stands Still 📖 I read it last week and had trouble putting it down! I have a feeling this book is going to stick with me for a while...
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have you read Where the Dark Stands Still? 🦌 And what’s your favorite song on TTPD? 🎶

#LTKhome #LTKfindsunder50
Are there any books that just feel like spring to you? 🌸
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I asked this question last year and received a lot of answers that involved classics or nonfiction, which surprised me a little bit 😮
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I tend not to pick up these genres as frequently 🤷🏻‍♀️ Instead, I prefer to stick with romance and fantasy 🤎 So if you’re like me and looking for some spring-time recs in these categories, I’ve got you:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🐝 Wind Daughter by Joanna Ruth Meyer (if possible, read Echo North first, as it will help you understand the plot better)
🌙 Half a Soul by Olivia Atwater
🌱 The Garden of Small Beginnings by Abbi Waxman
🐉 The Tea Dragon Society by K O’Neill
🥂 The Party Crasher by Sophie Kinsella
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you’re looking for even more recommendations, check out my blog for an article with 15 titles that will make your spring reading list bloom 😉
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have you read any of these season-appropriate titles? ☕️

#LTKSeasonal #LTKfindsunder50 #LTKhome
What’s the next backlist book on your TBR? 📖
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m a huge fan of reading backlist books along with new releases and when I set up my priority 24 list for 2024, I included several older titles that I’m really excited to pick up soon 🙌🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Next up on my backlist TBR:
🐉 Eragon - I know, I know, I have no clue how I missed this one while growing up, but I did. It’s officially past time to read this fan fave!
❤️‍🔥 Red Rising - I hadn’t heard of this one until I joined bookstagram four years ago, but it’s everywhere and I’m thinking it’s past time I give it a go.
🌅 The Wrath & the Dawn - I really enjoy retellings and knowing this is inspired by One Thousand and One Nights is fascinating to me, plus it’s one of my booksta bestie’s favorites!
🌱 Akarnae - after reading and adoring The Prison Healer trilogy (and rereading and still adoring it this year), I knew I wanted to go through the author’s previous books and this series sounds so cool.
☕️ Before the Coffee Gets Cold - this has been on my TBR for ages and yet I’ve never picked it up. Magical realism and a coffee shop? Yes, please.

#LTKhome #LTKfindsunder50
If you could have any kind of magic, what would it be? ✨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I would absolutely want elemental powers 🌬️ It would be so much fun to have control over the weather or the earth in some way 🍃
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This book had some of the coolest magic... a garden where everything that grew there was embued with magical properties of some sort 😱 I was hooked from beginning to end when I picked this up back in October and I’ll definitely be reading it again 📖

#LTKhome #LTKfindsunder50
What’s one fantasy series you wish you saw more people talk about on booksta? ⚔️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
While I could share a ridiculously long list of recommendations, right now my brain is stuck on The Prison Healer since I’m currently doing a reread! 🙌🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This trilogy has it all:
✨ elemental magic
🏰 royal feuds
😶‍🌫️ hidden identities
🤎 swoony romance
🏹 gripping adventure
🏆 a winning cast of characters
(and so much more)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you haven’t read this YA fantasy trilogy yet, what are you waiting for? ⏳

#LTKhome #LTKfindsunder50
What time of day do you find yourself reading the most? 📖
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
No matter what happens during my day, without fail you will absolutely find me curled up in bed with a book every night 🛏️ I can’t let a day go by without reading, so getting an hour (or three) in before I catch some zzz’s is the best 🥱
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
However, I also spend a bit of time each day listening to my audiobooks—usually while I’m working on mindless tasks in the morning 🎧 And of course, if I wind up with free time in my afternoon or it’s a “lazy” weekend, I love curling up on my couch with my current read, my cat, and a cup of coffee ☕️

#LTKfindsunder50 #LTKhome
Tell me your favorite romance series 🤎
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I know I haven’t been as active on here lately, but that doesn’t mean I’ve stopped reading 🫣 Life has been pretty challenging recently, so I’ve been escaping into my favorite books as often as possible 📖
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A few of my favorite romance series are:
🎄 Lovelight Farms by BK Borison
🩺 The Friend Zone AND Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez (I thought they were all one series but apparently not?)
📱 The Boyfriend Project by Farrah Rochon
📸 Bright Falls by Ashley Herring Blake
📚 The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams
🥧 When in Rome by Sarah Adams
🍿 Never Been Kissed by Timothy Janovsky
🧮 The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang
⚔️ Well Met by Jen DeLuca
🔮 The Witches of Thistle Grove by Lana Harper

#LTKhome #LTKfindsunder50
Using only emojis, tell me the aesthetic of your bookstagram page! 🥰
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here are mine: ☕️📖🤎🕯️🪵🍂🧸
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When I first started my bookstagram, I knew that I wanted it to be a warm and cozy space and immediately invested in the props to make that happen 😊️ The vibe around here really hasn’t changed much in four years, only become a more solid “brand” for The Espresso Edition 🙌🏼

#LTKfindsunder50 #LTKhome
Tell me the most swoon-worthy, romantic book you’ve read in the last couple of years 🤎
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Your book choice doesn’t even need to be categorized in the romance genre... I know mine certainly isn’t 🙈 No question about it, Bring Me Your Midnight is absolutely the most romantic book I’ve read over the last several years 😍 I read my fair share of swoony novels, but the quotes in this one have my whole heart 🫶🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When I read this as an ARC last summer, I felt like I was actually *living* the story, rather than just reading words on a page 📖 I think I’ve been saying I want to reread it every week since I finished it 😅 Now, it’s officially on my February TBR, since it’s Love Month and that feels like the perfect time to revisit what I consider the ultimate romance book 🥰

#LTKfindsunder50 #LTKhome
If you had to pick candle scents to pair with your current read, what would they be? 🕯️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When I initially drafted this caption (last week, before I totally lost track of life and didn’t post for days 😅), I was reading Linger (the second book in The Wolves of Mercy Falls series) and I think the scent notes would be:
🌲 pine trees
🌧️ late winter rain
🌰 toasted almonds
🐺 sexy werewolves (yeah yeah I know that’s not a real scent but we’re gonna roll with it, okay? 😋)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I really love it when authors describe scents in great detail within their narrative 📖 I have always associated scents with memories, moments, and people, so it helps me visualize the world and the story even better 🤎

#LTKfindsunder50 #LTKhome
When you’re feeling blue, what kind of books do you reach for to give you a mood boost? 🦋
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My comfort books are all over the place, but I always know that whenever I’m down, the ones that will bring me the most joy are:
🩷 Heartstopper
🗣️ Talking as Fast as I Can
🦌 Shadow and Bone
🍂 The Nature of Witches
☕️ Legends & Lattes
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Truthfully, it wouldn’t matter what kind of mood I’m in, rereading these books will always make me smile 😊️

#LTKhome #LTKfindsunder50
What are your favorite mystery books? 🔎
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As a kid, I was a huge fan of mystery series and gobbled them up whenever I found a new one that I loved and that didn’t feel totally predictable 🙈 When I began to search for them as an adult, I felt a little let down because it seemed like everything leaned towards thriller rather than just mystery, and I didn’t love the creepy element at all 😅
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Several years ago, I watched and loved Knives Out, and when I saw someone say that The Inheritance Games was like a YA book version of that movie, I knew I had to read it right away! 🙌🏼 It quickly became one of my favorite series and I’ve seriously enjoyed each and every book that has come out 📚 I can’t wait for The Grandest Game to be in my hands later this year ♣️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have you gotten a chance to dive into this mystery series yet? 📖

#LTKhome #LTKfindsunder50
When is your bookstaversary? 🍾 Today I’m celebrating 4 years of The Espresso Edition 📖☕️🤎
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How on earth has it been 4 years already? 😅 I feel like it was just the other day that I was chatting with @estherfungreads about this community and making plans to create my own page where I could chat about books all the time 🙈
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Fast forward to now... I’ve made some of the best friends I’ve ever had, discovered countless new favorite books, found tons of authors to support, and expanded my mind in so many ways 🤯 Bookstagram truly changed my life for the better and I’m so thankful for all of you and the incredible impact you’ve had on me over the last 4 years 🫶🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Why did you join bookstagram? 📚

#LTKstyletip #LTKfindsunder100
Do you like reading fictional books about hobbies you enjoy (or have enjoyed) in real life? 🎭
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Dungeons & Drama was such a blast of a read for me because it combined my love for theatre with my nerdy side 🙌🏼 While I’m super picky with YA romance now, this book was just so much fun that I know I’ll be reading it again in the future (and I’m so thankful that the publisher sent me a completed copy so I can do just that)! 🥰
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What are some hobbies you have outside of reading (or hobbies you loved as a kid)? 🎲

#LTKfindsunder50 #LTKhome
Would you take the protagonist of your current read for a cup of coffee? ☕️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I would absolutely take both Seren and Owen from Into the Heartless Wood to get a hot bev 🙌🏼 They’re two of my favorite book characters and I just have this feeling we’d have plenty to discuss, like music and the stars and all our hopes and dreams 🌠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s been so fun spending January rereading tons of my favorite books 📚 I adore revisiting these worlds and learning more about the characters I’ve fallen in love with over the years 🫶🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What’s the next fantasy book you plan to pick up? 🤎

Are there any books you read in 2023 that completely took you by surprise? 😳
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
THE UNMAKING OF JUNE FARROW blew me away! 💨 I was anticipating enjoying it but definitely not expecting to fall in love with it the way I did 🤎 It combined historical fiction with magical realism and the mystery woven throughout made it impossible to put down once I started it 🙈 It instantly went on my 23 favorites in 2023 list and I truly can’t wait to read it again in the future 🙌🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have you read this enchanting story yet? ✨

I'm also starting to think about what I want on my Priority 24 TBR in the new year 📚 I'm sure it'll include some upcoming releases as well as a few that are on my backlist... and maybe a couple of rereads as well! 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm already getting so excited for what I'll get to read and December isn't even over yet 😂
