This room was so void of character and it didn’t encourage conversation at all. We didn’t get it right the first time and it took over five years for us to figure out how to make this room work for us. I love how this turned out because it reflects both my interests and my husband’s. And it’s now so cozy and the layout encourages intimate conversations and a sunny place to sit with a cup of tea and a good book. It’s one of our favourite rooms in the house now! Through this room transformation it really taught me to live in a space and figure out how we use it before jumping in to decorate. Home truly takes time. And after five years in this house, we’re still learning how to make this home ours. Follow along as we figure it out together. Shoutout to @hanashappyhome because she inspired this format of posting. 🇺🇸🔗 DIY makeover homedecor LTKHome LTKstorytime
