I love puzzles. I don't get a ton of help from my family but my middle daughter is starting to develop the love and skill of a puzzler.
I'm a super picky puzzler though because my eyes are horrible so I need crisp and clear pictures to keep me engaged and successful. Here are a few of my favorite puzzle brands!

This probably leans more towards girls but what can I do? I'm a girl mom.

Here are some of the things I'm putting in their Easter baskets this year in case you're in need of some ideas!

The playdough jars are not tagged in LTK but they are @youngwildandfriedman and they are soooo good. I get them every year.
Also adding some new waterbottles (I feel like they always need these), a new spring watercolor book for my oldest. and these are some of my personal favorite Easter candies!

Just got back from a weekend trip with the fam and put together some of my favorite travel necessities for me and the kids.

Not pictured:
1. Allergy medicine before the flight to help with clogged ears

2. Lots and LOTS of snacks.
Something that works for us during takeoff and landing is apples (opening their mouth wide helps their ears pop) and gummy bears.

There’s nothing like making something yourself!
I’ve never used a sewing machine in my life but wanted cafe curtains for our kitchen without spending a fortune.
It took a LONG time but I’m Sooo proud of these and love that they’re handmade by me!

My kids love these waffles. Especially when I make them for dinner.
My secret? A touch of cinnamon. Also- Whip the egg whites to stiff peaks and fold them into the batter. Makes for a nice fluffy waffle 🤤

I love a live plant for all its organic beauty and benefits for air quality. But sometimes a good faux plant is just what a space needs- especially if the room doesn't get great light or if you aren't home often (or its a rental property). These are some beauties that are all different price points and all extremely real looking. Check em out and let me know if you have one that should be added to the list!

These girls love to color. And so do I. I bought these makers and coloring books for myself as a way to relax after stressful days at work. Now they get used every day by my daughters. 🩷

Entryway reveal:

I’m really trying to add more color to my house. Gone are the days where everything is white and gray. I went with this awesome mustard yellow color by @sherwinwilliams called “cardboard.” It makes this space so warm and cozy and really defines the space.

Our master bedroom isn’t fully finished yet, but it is one of my favorite rooms in the house. I got the wall color idea from a trip we took to Newport, RI and the textures and artwork carry that surfer vibe all the way through. Some of these links are exact and others are a close match. Also check out some of the lamps I’m scoping out for in here. Haven’t been able to decide on one yet.

One of my goals this year is to be a bit more gut-healthy. Why? Because a 37 year old gut doesn’t look quite like a 23 year old gut any more.
I’m not really hungry in the morning but need something to hold me over at school. I figured if I made breakfast and lunch gut healthy, I could keep our family dinners basically the same (three kids need more than just greens and grilled chicken every night for dinner).

These smoothies have been great for busy mornings, holding me over, and starting my day off on a healthy foot. Read on for recipies!

Green smoothie:
Spinach, frozen pineapple, frozen mango, almond milk, banana, plain Greek yogurt, and chia seeds

Berry smoothie (my fave):
Frozen strawberries, frozen blueberries, spinach, almond milk, Greek yogurt, orange juice, tsp vanilla, chia seeds

Peanut butter/banana smoothie:
This one is only good if it’s really cold so use frozen banana, peanut butter, Greek yogurt, almond milk, flaxseed, maple syrup, cinnamonn

I don’t know if any of this actually works but it’s worth a shot.
I’ve been airing out the house every day for about 20 mins.
Wiping down surfaces with Clorox.
Today I’m washing the covers on our #burrow sectional (I love that these can all come off and be thrown in the washer)
And I’ve been diffusing #thieves every day.
Hoping to keep the household to one sick kid and get the rest of those germs on their way 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Set up my new sewing station today!
It took me an embarrassingly long time yesterday just to figure out how this thing works-‘I’ve literally never touched a sewing machine before in my life.

I’ve always loved this command center by @sunnycirclestudio. I’ve saved it for awhile and think it ended up perfectly in this white space of the kitchen.
* I NEED dinner plans for the week to get my head around food shopping, and I was feeling lost without any board to jot them down on.
* The apron being out is a great reminder of what a MESSY cook I am and that I should protect my clothes a bit more.
* Plus that chalkboard wallpaper is just too fun!

Easy rental upgrade: under-cabinet lighting. Good lighting makes such a difference in your day-to-day life- especially in a busy work zone like the kitchen. Finally found some beautiful curtains for this big window in our den. It’s very private outback so I debated just leaving this window without a treatment, but that harsh winter light makes watching tv during the day in here pretty tough. Found these on Etsy and they are super cute and add a splash of color and pattern to this room 😍

First room in the house that’s fully done and clean- the dining room!
Our table traveled with us from our other house but we got new chairs and buffet for this space and I’m loving them 🤍🤍🤍
We’re almost ready to have you over for a latte but like I said, this is the first room done- the rest of the house is still a mess 😂 getting there little by little!
