One of my favorite projects is a little girl’s room transformation. I didn’t have my own room until I was in high school, so every time we work in a girl’s space something in my inner child heals a little. This family is starting a big renovation later this year, but they didn’t want to wait to give their 9-year-old daughter a room she could grow into. Her little brother is still sharing the room for now, so we tucked his bed to the side to encourage him to move into his own room soon. And it worked! Because his room is next! We started with a mood board and budget spreadsheet, then tackled everything on Project Day™. Lots of editing, moving and assembling furniture (I was still sore for 3 days after 😂), layering pieces so the room felt finished instead of cluttered, and creating simple systems she can actually maintain herself. Same square footage. Same kid. Completely different room. lessstuffbetterlife proorganizer intentionalhome thoughtfulliving homedesign
